“For a mom and pop place that is a small place the food and service is quite amazing. We live about 2 miles away in Timber Pines and did not know this place existed. The portions were large. My salad had more than the standard iceberg lettuce and was quite tasty. I have a fairly good appetite but had to share my fries and still had fries left over. The server and cook were very efficient and we had our food within 10 minutes or less. It even has a little atmosphere with around 100 license plates from the last 75 years or so and an old gas pump trying to emulate a turnpike stop. It even had a tiny lunch counter. The cook even checked in with us on her food. What a nice change of pace on our ordinary restaurant route.“
“I want to thank Connor for being so caring and kind. Today we took are dog duke on his last drive and wanted to get him the best pupcup he will ever have. after letting Connor know this he made sure duke got the best one with tons of extra dog bones and a bit more ice cream. I can explain how much even tho it was small this meant to me so thank you“
“We went to A&W tonight and haven't been there in a few years we had double crunch burgers, frys and onion rings we waited a little bit for service and food but everything was great the staff was busy but did a great job. We will be back“
“My boyfriend and I had dinner at Big Mike's. The food was delicious! I had the liver and onions, which was a generous portion served with two sides. My boyfriend had the chicken wing special, which we also very good. The French fries served there are outstanding. I watched two customers order extra sides for take home in the short time we were there. Also, the owner, Mike, was so personable and friendly. All the dinners were under $10. Mike's also had a good breakfast menu on the back of the dinner menu.“
“As a Chicago native I was so excited when we found this place. We ordered the Chicago style hotdogs, an Italian beef and a pizza puff. The dogs were great but I do wish they'd steam the buns. The pizza puff was the exact same one I grew up eating which was exciting and so nostalgic. However, the item I was most excited about trying left me disappointed. The Italian beef looked perfect (dipped w/ plenty of giardiniera) but the meat just wasn't good so I'll have to keep getting my fix when I head north or when I'm near a Portillo's.The service was great so I'll definitely be back for the hot dogs and to try some of the other items on their menu!!“
“Amazing dogs! Let me just start by saying Eric never disappoints! Dogs are Hott & condiments are evenly distributed thru-out the bun (which is shorter than the dog)!Score... My dog of choice is the Chili cheese dog just finished off 2 of those bad boys for lunch!, but let me tell you what The Chicago dog he has is Out of this world! All the different flavors from the pickle to the hot peppers on-top is a party in ur mouth! Word to the wise thou buy 2 or 3 cuz 1 just ain't enough!! These dogs are so good they leave you full but craving more more more! I go out of my way ; pass-by shit-ton of fast-food places on 19 just to make it for lunch ! New York Dog House in my opinion is well worth the drive & the $$....“
