This piece of history should stay as a pillar in the community. The Historic Manhattan Casino Event Hall. I enjoyed traveling over an hour and half learning about how many famous musicians came through and performed here. The mayor and others should find a way to enrich this in the plans. Some developers are in the process of building condos and other luxury homes. The community will explore if more thought is put forth to showcase a piece history instead of erasing as if it never existed. The food was amazing, seasoned just as my great-grandmother , grandmother, and mother have done for generations. Thank You for this opportunity to listen to spoken words and enjoy some wonderful jazz over a delicious meal. I hope others will get to enjoy some wonderful soul food.
Today my family and I was here for late lunch. Eating Nachos and the ? burgers 22. All food was delicious ? The service team are gentile and professional, they do a great job always when we visited. Actually is normal see the owners at the place for take care about all be amazing every day. We'll continue come to enjoy this nice place and definitely continue recommending.
Amazing building. Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Be sure to ask about the history of the building. Once you take it all in, you will truly appreciate what they are doing here.I had the salmon which was cooked to perfection and delivered with fresh vegetables in an excellent glaze that was so tasty I wanted to lick the plate clean. Vicky had the pulled pork and macaroni/cheese dish. I sampled some of that and enjoyed it as well.
We went for the jazz. The food (I had the salmon) was really good! The service was slow (and a bit forgetful) but very pleasant! We will go back!
Last night, I had my son’s graduation dinner here. I was so grateful for Emily and Janee! The atmosphere was wonderful and food was on point. Emily is the best event planner and hostess I could have asked for! The drinks were on point and they even created 3 dishes for me to have. Thank you for 22 South Hall!
Nice atmosphere friendly people alot of fun
The Sunday Brunch was Exquisite!! The menu was thoroughly thought out and displayed as such. For the Older generation, it would have reminded you of a version of Morrison's. The food was NOT dried out or over cooked; and the waitresses and waiters replenished each serving tray so that it never ran low. And the individual table service was top notch. This was truly a Great experience after partaking in Spiritual substance.
Staff was so friendly, venue was clean & beautiful and the vibe is unbeatable! Came for a show & will definitely be back with friends for other events & just to hang out. Met the owner, Matt & he was the most kind person! It feels good to be at a place that’s all about supporting local and small artists & you can tell it’s the mission from the moment you walk in, through your service & experience with staff and all the way to walking out the door. Definitely recommend coming in with friends or by yourself to experience great food & drinks as well as a lovely atmosphere, can’t wait to come back & try brunch!
This restaurant we visited late Saturday night and the vibe was good cheap good cheap drinks accommodating staff all good. Drinks were phenomenal don't forget to tip the bar tender. More like a grown and sexy atmosphere. Ordered grouper nuggets, Buffalo wings and the Mallory.
Wonderful atmosphere! Great Food❤

Brunch was great ! Went in on a Sunday- Clean, safe hygienic practices in place! Omelet/waffle station plus a line of food to choose from, even chicken tenders and tilapia. Cannot remember exact price for buffet but around$25 each from what I remember the bill being. Great service with a smile too!
The food could be so much better. Salads aren't fresh or big, the shrimp are tiny and they need to offer more healthier options. Al, the bartender is nice ?
Everything was great from the ambiance of the place the food drinks and let's not forget about how clean it is they also have a banquet area foe Events to be held .. The Keystothecity is my drink of choice
It was delicious….From the shrimp ? and grits ?, to the hunch ? punch. Our servers wereExcellent and worked hard . Cleared plates ? making the dining experience worth the trip south of here.I wished the artist would have ?, showed you timely and not canceled but that’s no fault of the restaurant. What a genuine blessing of good food and a beautiful atmosphere.
We were very happy to see this place reopen. This was our first chance to get there for the brunch on Sunday. they had to close down for several weeks due to lack of Staffing & availability of products so they did a great job with the reopen, and I'm sure they'll get better as staff are more comfortable with the routine. The bottomless Mimosa option is definitely better than buying individual drinks. Brunch offerings were not all available when we got there when they first opened, but were brought out within a few minutes. The carved roast roast beef was great; peel & eat shrimp were huge. The waffles needed to be hot. The omelette station was great. They also had all the traditional breakfast foods, catfish, blackeyed peas, mini chocolate eclairs, salad. Additional desserts would be nice, & Mac & cheese. We will go back.
