I paid almost $9 for a single scoop of ice cream in a sugar cone. Even in this economy, that is a bit much. The ice cream was solid (as one would expect for the cost), but it wasn't Italian gelato.
If you’re in St. Pete, La Mamma Gelato is a must. Their gelato is hands down the best in the area. You can truly taste the difference everything is made in-house using authentic Italian ingredients, and it shows in every single flavor.
The texture is perfectly smooth and creamy, and the flavors are rich without being too heavy. It feels like a true, authentic gelato experience you don’t come across often.
