I had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Lara today and I can confidently say she is the perfect reason to keep coming back. She’s honest, personable, and goes above and beyond to make sure you’re taken care of. When I asked about the menu, she didn’t just give a generic answer she gave me real, helpful insight with a friendly sense of humor that made the experience feel personal. Lara was upfront about the options. She made me feel welcomed, valued, and like I was chatting with a good friend rather than just a staff member.
If every company had someone like Lara being kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring customer service everywhere would be 5 stars. She’s a true asset and the gold standard for hospitality.

Good food, good wait staff service and good views. The difficult and untruthful hostess staff told us a water view table was not available when it really was available. Hostess made us wait inside unnecessarily when we could have waited outside enjoying the water view.

What a view at Paul’s Landing at The Vinoy. Sat up at the bar for a light lunch and drink and was kindly greeted by a tall handsome bearded guy, Joe the bartender. He had great recommendations for food and drink. I went with his recommendation on the grilled wings and added fries to it. The wings were so delish! I asked him for a drink recommendation since I didn’t see anything on menu that jumped at me. He asked me a few questions about spirits I liked and what drinks I typically order and he went to work and brought over a sweet yet refreshing drink and it was perfect! Thank you Joe for your amazing service!

Our reservation specified that 2 of us are vegan. Your servers made mistakes and didn't handle it well. One server said "you are not my table". Your service should be seanless.

Absolute joke of a hotel restaurant. A hotel restaurant that fails to provide breakfast properly??Needed to wait 20 mins for a table when half of the tables were empty. When asked was told “they weren’t able to service more than the tables eating already” If you’re staying at the hotel you’ll have a terrible experience on breakfast as this is one of the only options.

Service was good although we were told to come back in 20 minutes because the breakfast/lunch service was switching so they wouldn’t seat us.
Our waiter was good. The food was okay very small portions and nothing to get excited about.
Handy location near the pool.

We did not end up dining here, but I wanted to share our experience. We had an 11:00 AM reservation on the patio, but due to rain, we appreciated that the staff was able to accommodate us with an indoor table instead. Unfortunately, once seated, we were informed that the kitchen was in the process of switching from breakfast to lunch service and there would be a delay. While our server was friendly, efficient, and did his best, we watched as breakfast dishes continued to be served to other tables. We were told that once breakfast service was complete, the kitchen would then begin preparing lunch—our order. At around 11:35 we decided to leave. In all my dining experiences, I've never encountered a situation where a restaurant takes your order but is unable to begin preparing it due to a kitchen transition. It was especially disappointing as this was meant to be a special Mother's Day outing. We had to call around and eventually find another place last minute, which was inconvenient and frustrating.

Thumbs down!! I am a local resident and love visiting the Vinoy. My friend and I went out to lunch at Paul's Landing on Saturday, and the service was DISAPPOINTING, and the food was way below average. I was disappointed that we came up to the bar, sat down, and barely got acknowledged. They had 3 bartenders working and had one bartender tell us they'd be right with us and then ignored for over 10 more minutes or so. It wasn't high volume, and though it was a little bit busy, when you have three bartenders, you should be able to handle the number of people that were there. There was no sense of urgency. A bartender finally came up a few minutes later and took our order, but this was after overlooking us and helping somebody else who came to the bar after we sat down. We ordered our lunch and excited to have some good food but disappointed. The grouper sandwich was supposed to have cheese on it, but it did not. When I requested to have cheese on it, the bartender brought me a slice of cheese that I had to put on the sandwich myself. It wasn't melted, and the whole sandwich was terrible. It was a big chunk of blackened grouper with a dried out bun. I wanted a grilled grouper sandwich, and my side of fruit was a few days old. I ate less than half the sandwich and paid $30 for it. When it was food that was not good and the service was not up to par, it made for everything to be a disappointment. They never once asked how our meal was. This is the Vinoy. Come on...Do better. We felt like we were overlooked, and the vibe was just less than it should be. Bartenders are supposed to have a fun, attentive attitude and especially at this beautiful hotel, but it just wasn't there. The bar staff should be working somewhere else and not at this beautiful, fun hotel because the vibe that I saw and felt was negative and made the experience a complete letdown. When it came time to pay, the whole food was put on my credit card after asking the bartender in the beginning to make sure that we get separate checks, which he acknowledged and said no problem. Then it WAS a problem because when I asked for our check, he said we didn't give him an additional credit card to separate the checks. That's funny because you never asked for it, and you didn't remember telling us that you would not put it all on one credit card. The atmosphere is amazing, The Vinoy is one of my favorite hotels, but Paul's Landing restaurant really dropped the ball. Super disappointing. And the manager in the suit that kept coming back and forth behind the bar running reports seemed to be taking away from what the bartenders needed to do, and that was service the customers. A $50.00 lunch that basically was not worth it at all. If the service had been good, some of this could have been overlooked, but the experience lacked luster for being one of the best hotels. Because of this, I will not give them my business again. I'll visit The Vinoy and enjoy the outside bar by the lobby because Paul's Landing needs to do better.

Just dont. Unless you’re staying there, it’s not worth the hassle. You’ll have to find street parking and then adventurously find your way inside. The shrimp n grits were barely room temp. Menu says gouda cheese but SURPRISE, they’re cheddar. There is no citrus glaze. This dish couldnt be more basic. Do yourself a favor and go down the road and explore a new place with a vibe. Hard pass for this spot.

No reason to go here unless you’re in the hotel and don’t want to leave.

Nice setting. Was very busy but they were able to accommodate our reservation. Hostess and wait service were very pleasant. Sat outside over looking the harbor. Fish tacos and grouper sandwich were very good.
