Salty Nun Reviews
My wife and I went in, while on a BikePub tour, to share the wealth with the downtown establishments. Salty Nun is our “home away from home”!
Great food, SUPERB staff and ALWAYS memorable entertainment but the ABSOLUTE MOST welcoming and safe environment for ALL! We celebrated Father’s Day with our children and father. Everyone in our party had a grand time! Thank you Salty Nun❤️
HIGHLY recommend the Sunday Drag Brunch!
Menu
The Salty Nun is a restaurant that is sometimes visited for group gatherings, offering a brunch menu including a Cuban quesadilla and a fried green tomato omelette. The quesadilla has been described as lacking enough cheese, and the omelette as having a bland taste and presentation. Service can be slow, with instances of food being delivered to the wrong table and long waits for toast. The interior and furniture have been described as worn and needing some refreshment. The restaurant's outdoor area is often used, especially during evenings, and features live music and a DJ, creating a lively atmosphere. The staff is generally friendly and attentive, with some reviews praising their efforts, especially during busy times. However, the food quality has received mixed reviews—some find it good, while others note that certain dishes, like the food ordered from frozen boxes, are inedible. The overall experience can vary, and the restaurant may focus more on its nightlife, with breakfast hours sometimes feeling less prioritized. Despite some shortcomings, many visitors enjoy the drinks, music, and the welcoming staff.
