I arrived last night at 9pm with guests and the receptionist (I think her name was Sara) told me that I didn't have a reservation, I explained that I had made one and the person who took it was called Valeria, to which she responded that no one worked there with that person. name... and that the reservation had not been made... that there was only space outside (it was a night with a very strong wind) it took me a long time to find the reservation, which was possibly poorly made... but the lack of will to try to make it was surprising. locate us, when from there I saw many empty tables... Finally he told me to wait, that they were paying at a table... when we sat down I saw that there were at least 6 empty tables around me and that they were NEVER occupied, having left when there were almost no diners left ….regrettable the very bad disposition of the receptionist…zero cordiality, in a restaurant that would be at 80% occupancy at most…

This upscale restaurant offer a wide selection of Mediterranean foods. Food, Service and Athmosphere everything is really very good. But reservation is a must.
Food was average. We asked if they could do a maragarita and they said yes, when the bill came it was $28! It was more than any other cocktail on the menu!More importantly, we were celebrating a birthday yesterday. They did nothing to make it special though I reminded at check in. While leaving the restaurant, I told the hostess and she responded saying we put candles only if you get dessert! Truth is we did have the subpar dessert!We are regulars at Avra Nyc, this was a disappointment.
