This place would have earned 5 stars had it not been for the poor service and ambience. We ordered Greek salad, Calamari, whole 3lb Red Snapper, mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, Shrimp Scampi pasta, all absolutely fresh and delicious! Our night began to tank when our waitress brought our wine bottle. She popped it open and left. Not even a pour. No table water, nor did she ask. It's been a while since we dined at Gem, prices increased since last visit but reasonable for a waterfront spot. The restaurant is clean with polite staff. Suggestions: have something better than a copy paper packet with a staple for your menu. Also, if you have a party of 5 or more, offer to combine tables instead of the customer just getting an extra chair themselves from another table, especially if the entire indoor dinning area is empty.
