I did not enjoy the food at all. The hand pie was terrible, had no taste absolutely whatsoever and the bagel was okayish. Loved the location but really not great place for food. Drinks are good.

Such an icon of the Tallahassee scene. I've lived here for 15 years and Blackdog has always been the go to for common meeting spots, first dates, quick coffee in the morning, and quite a bit more. Phenomenal cafe that still carries on the atmosphere of 2nd wave coffee cafes (think Central Perk from Friends) which is such a breath of fresh air when it feels like every other coffeeshop has fully embraced the Modern/Euro/Minimalism aesthetic with clean lines and flat surfaces.Blackdog feels lived in. It feels homey. Highly recommend their Blackdog Blended coffee (its their version of a frappe) and its tremendous on hot summer days and it pairs wonderfully with a walk around Lake Ella.

Visited for the 1st time this morning and what a lovely experience. My boyfriend and I each ordered a drink and a baked good. He ordered the iced Vietnamese coffee which was delicious along with a chocolate filled croissant (also delish) and I ordered one of the specialty drinks which I believe was called the lavender haze latte and I ordered it iced(tasted like chocolate covered strawberries with a hint of lavender). SOOOO yummy! For the baked good I ordered the mamusa(I think that's the name) and it was very good, almost like a chocolate, nut type of bar, very dense and filling but also delightful. 10/10 would recommend!! The barista was lovely and helpful as well. Left spending $21 for everything.

Perfect little cafe! We ordered a latte with lavender flavor, a drip coffee, and a carrot muffin. The drinks were delicious but the muffin was by far the best! The atmosphere is relaxing with a view of the lake. There were even two adorable cats enjoying a nap in the sun while we sipped our drinks.

I love a coffee shop like this! It was my first time here, it was nestled behind a beautiful lake. The service was incredible and the coffee was great! Lots of options of drinks and food. Highly recommend

I genuinely love black dog and I come here probably twice a week. However, they got new tea pots that are HORRIBLE. They hold almost no tea, barley filling up half of a large to go cup, spill everywhere, and they don't hold loose leaf tea which is sadly a major disappointment to me .
