My mom and I were visiting from out of town and went here based on a recommendation from a friend. Everything was tasty. I wish I had bought some of their honey mustard.

Great place with awesome sandwiches, and friendly staff.

Great place to get a quick lunch.

Excellent sandwiches made to order along with selection of soups and salads, plus a daily meal offering. Homey and friendly. Also offers famous baked hams and other catered items. A Tallahassee institution! I have sampled most sandwiches, including egg salad and Reuben. Also recommend the Brunswick stew.

Purchased 8-9 lb spiral sliced ham. It was delicious. I served it cold. Easy to remove slices. with the leftovers, I put a few slices at a time in the air fryer and they came out very nice.

The ham is the best that you can find anywhere.

I placed an order a full week in advance for fried chicken and pulled pork for 20 people, for a workplace luncheon. I decided to call them the day before the order was to be picked up, just to be sure they were going to have the order ready. They told me that they could not fulfill the order because they were "too busy" to make fried chicken and pulled pork, and offered me turkey or ham instead. The whole reason I ordered fried chicken and pulled pork is that I wanted something different than ham or turkey. I had to call them to find this out? When were they planning to tell me this? I AM VERY UPSET, and I won't be using them EVER AGAIN.

Best place for lunch in Tallahassee. Great selection of home made soups and sandwiches. The white chicken chili is to die for!

I'm pretty picky about my tuna sandwiches. It's a workday favorite, but hard to find a good one in Tallahassee. Most taste like cat food on a bun. There are just three places in town that I get them routinely without fear (or thoughts of litter boxes). One of them is, ironically, a honey-ham place -- Connie's Hams & Roasters. Connie's makes a gold-star tuna salad sandwich. It's made fresh, from good quality tuna (I presume solid-white albacore) with just the right amount of mayo and seasonings. I prefer mine on rye (they also have rolls) with lettuce, tomato, onion and Swiss cheese, with a slice of dill pickle on the side. Connie's makes other excellent salad sandwiches too -- chicken salad, ham salad and egg salad -- but their tuna rocks my boat. Oh, and, in case you're interested in the others in my top (and only) three -- they are OG Subs (on College Avenue near FSU) and Jersey Mike's (on Market Street).
