Dined at Cypress several years ago, not impressed but kept seeing really good reviews. Decided to try again. Same mediocre experience. Pay for bread service that consisted of small biscuits and corn muffins. Crab cakes a real disappointment. Hovering waiters, reflecting inexperience and needing training.

Awesome dining experience! The staff is very friendly and helpful, plus the food was delicious! Perfect place for great cocktails, small plates and dessert. I'll definitely be back; I highly recommend!!

Walking distance from the cute downtown plaza. Excellent service. Good wine selection. We had the crab cakes and iceberg salad. Parking limited.

My wife and I had an excellent meal. Our server, Patrick, was incredibly hospitable and courteous. The food tasted amazing and the restaurant has a romantic ambiance. Whereas the restaurant was fantastic, the server made all of these qualities harmonize together for the perfect experience. Thank you!

My wife has Celiac and the gluten free options here are amazing. I don't have that restriction and can vouch for the other items, too. We both can agree 100% that the cheesecake is not just gluten free, it is amazing.

This is one of the better restaurants we have been to in Tallahassee. Great cocktails. We tried a bunch of different tapas, they were all great. This was during COVID restrictions. It is not the most expensive in town, but higher than average prices.

Party of 7, with drinks/wine and ordering lots of the small plates, but when we asked for more crostini to accompany the smoked fish dish, they charged us an additional dollar- seriously? We spent over $300 and they charged an extra dollar for 3 pieces of toast? The food was very good, but we eat at a lot of tapas/small plate restaurants and these servings were higher priced for much less food than any other place we have visited. The portion of blackened redfish for $18 could not have been more than an ounce of fish. We had a pleasant evening and the service was excellent- but we will spend our money other places.

Cypress use to be my favorite restaurant. I had not been here in 5-6 years as I had moved away and had moved back. Unfortunately I am disappointed to see that the ambiance and service has decreased dramatically. The pictures posted look nothing like the current restaurant. Lighting is dark and decorating is poor taste. The best thing I can say is the cocktails is top notch. Meal included lamb chops and hanger steak it was okay. 4 stars on food. The food took exceptionally long for a VERY empty restaurant. Finally it took nearly 30 minutes for a brûlée that was burnt and left bitter taste in my mouth. The dessert was a left down. I enjoyed the appetizer of tuna. Overall the food and ambiance makes the general score 3 stars. This place use to need valet but I see why it is no longer a necessity.

We are new to Tallahassee and had heard great things - we have been to grove market cafe ( same owner) and thought it was delightful. I can't say enough about the food - it was amazing! The lamb chops, hanger steak, mushroom soup - I was blow away at how wonderful each and every dish was better than the last - can't wait to go back at sit at the bar and try the burger - heard it is amazing!

Best food I've ever eaten. The cucumber roll was delicious and the crab stuffed, bacon wrapped shrimp is just as decadent as you would imagine. The staff were very friendly. Grandma LOVED it ?

Guided us through their varied menu which unlike so many restaurants during COVID was expansive. The cucumber roll is so flavorful, gazpacho fresh and bursting with fresh tomatoes, pork melted in your mouth, featured cocktail was gorgeous and perfect balance of liquors, redfish had the most beautiful presentation and sides.

Cypress had excellent cocktails and food. We decided to get the Ruth Bader Gins-Burg and the Science Fig-tion. Both were great. We were blown away by the lamb chops and the sweet potato gnocchi and crab cakes were excellent. The low boil bouillabaisse was not what we we were hoping for, not the level we usually have, so we wouldn't get it again, but all the other food was excellent. The strawberry chevre cheesecake was amazing. Overall AMAZING. Great atmosphere.

Wonderful place. Great staff. Top notch food. I recommend the hanger steak, medium rare. Magnificent!! I also love the art on the walls. The fact that you can buy the art is very nice for collectors as well.
