Our first try of Ma Dukes. She really tries but was running everything by herself when we were there. We tried the lunch buffet. It is quite small but ok. A bit disappointing for the price. But we know enough of her story to know she is trying to build something good so we will probably try again sometime.

I just had the absolute WORST experience I have EVER had in a restaurant in my life at Ma'Dukes Grab & Go . I went in and ordered breakfast to go. We waited an hour to receive our food that was not only incorrect but placed into a bag with BLOOD covering the bottom and smelling like rotting flesh!!!!! The woman working apologized but refused to give me a refund. I paid $50 to receive food that was served to me in a BLOODY bag and I was refused a refund??? She offered to remake the food or give me half my money back. I will never eat food from somewhere that gives me a rotting flesh smelling bloody bag!! Would you??? I simply asked for my money back and I would go on my way. Nope. She refused and handed me not even half! A $20. So Ma Dukes just stole $30 out of my pocket!!! I highly recommend that you don't patronize this establishment.

It seems like this is a struggling business. When we got there the place was empty, and the lady who waited on us also had to cook. As it got busier, we obviously saw her less and less. It was hard to get refills of drinks or anything extra needed. The food was fair. I also used the bathroom and it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. I would probably pass this place by next time I'm here.

I pass this place everyday and never stopped. I finally did and tried the Shrimp, sweet potato fries w/ cheese grits. Everything was delicious, with great service. I most definitely will be back.
I cruised through exploring Havana and found a local spot Ma Duke’s I had me some coffee and some shrimp with grits and it was BUSSIN ? imma have to come back here even though I live in Tallahassee cause this that spot to visit ‼️

DELICIOUS!! I just got home with my smothered chicken (dark meat), fried okra, black eyed peas, and rice.OKRA- Holy moly. The crispy tasty batter.Smothered chicken- The meat itself is very tasty. Then that savory gravy on top...perfectionThe beans - very tasty.It was nice to purchase food that did not need to be doctored up when I got home. This restaurant actually cooks with spices and herbs.Great job Ma Duke! I'm very happy you have come to Havana.

My coworker had the unpleasant experience of dining in this establishment. Upon entering, due to the lack of A/C, you are met with a swift hot breeze, filled with the aroma of month old fryer grease. The workers are pleasant enough, but there were no patrons in site. We chose a table by the window for the ambiance, but were surprised to see flytape hanging in every window sill. I love wildlife, but not necessarily flying around my head while eating.We ordered cheeseburgers and french fries, which took about 15min to arrive. My expectations were low at this point, but i was hopeful that good food would be the saving grace for this place. Alas, that was not the case. Our burgers looked like they had been at the bottom of my grandmothers purse, and the fries, although overcooked, were cold and soft for some reason. Overall, if you are a risk taker, and plan on being near a toilet within the next thirty min, give this place a shot. Otherwise, i would pass on this place.
