In all of my years, 2024 was the first time I'd visited Olean's, and I love it. The portion of the food is great. Between the 'Obama' or the 'Johnny', I'm hooked. I'm always FULL after eating there. The chicken wings are yummy, too. I've tried the Salmon Croquettes, and they were good, too. It's definitely an option for a good, hearty breakfast that won't break the bank.
Some of the BEST home cooked food in Tallahassee. This is southern, soul comforting food!!! Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I usually get eggs, bacon, grits and toast. I also love the pancakes! They are super fluffy and cooked to order. Lunch my go to is baked chicken, collard greens and cabbage. The corn bread is sweet with a hint of vanilla. The serving sizes are more than enough for 2 meals. I also enjoy the mac n cheese
Only reason I’m giving this 3 stars is because of the customer service. I’m not from Florida but decided to stop by this place while I was visiting my younger cousin who attends FAMU. When we walked in, there was an older lady who greeted us at the door(I’m assuming the owner). She was very warm and inviting. A young man emerged from behind the counter and told us they were sold out of all meat except the cube steak. I ordered two cubes steak plates both with candied yams...
