Good experience. The food was good. The plantains were excellent. It's not a fun selection as in a regular Pollo Tropical, but sufficient. The grilled chicken was rather dry and the Cuban sandwich was lacking flavor in the pork and virtually no mustard. Not sure I'd go back there. There's other options in the student union to try. I love Pollo Tropical, I only wish this location had a full menu as it’s the only one in Tallahassee. Regardless of that, it’s generally quite good, quick, and the FSU student union is always a great place to eat.
I got the boneless chicken platter with yellow rice and veggies and fried yuca. It was delicious I wish the fried yuca was warmer or more recently made. Everything else was perfect. It brings a dinner roll and black beans.
