Great spot in the Hotel Duval. Food and service were excellent. Started with the BBQ shrimp. Then filet medallions and scallops. All cooked perfect and tasty. Now as far as the hotel! Well that's another review. Would not recommend the hotel right now. Needs some updating.

MPR Events LLC Celebration Dinner at Shula's 347 Grille on 3/1/24 was Everything! My Assistants/Nieces were shown Appreciation for helping me at Mega Ace Media Black Business Expo on February 24, 2024, where my company won a Grant! Cheers to our Server, Hostess and Staff at Shula's for helping to make this special! ???? Marie Plummer-Riou, Owner MPR Events LLC

Even though the waiter forgot our appetizer, the food was very good. Quiet atmosphere. Most restaurants of that calliber comp valet parking, but this one does not. It's an additional $16 to park for dinner.

Not being able to use valet parking, having to park on street and walk in the rain was disappointing, but our service at Shula was impeccable! The hostess was friendly and welcoming. Our server Greg was awesome! Best service by far that we received in Tallahassee! We will make sure he is working when we return, such great mood setter and conversation was like we knew him for years! Bartender i believe named Shocka made the best margarita and upstairs bar was amazing as well! Those guys upstairs just topped it all off! We will be back! Food was also amazing!

The food was very good and the staff was friendly. One steak was overcooked. To be fair, we were asked to check them before the waiter left the table, but not wanting to wait for another to be cooked, we didn't send it back. A 20% tip was added to our bill which is a common practice for large parties, but we were a party of four and no mention had been made to expect it. The bill had seemed high and at a quick second glance, I noticed the tip charge. I generally tip more than 20% but was a little offended at the "forced tip" (an oxymoron) and therefore did not add to it. At home I took a closer look at the bill and noticed that we had also been charged for 6 bar beverages when we'd only gotten 5, which was an $18 overcharge. I'll pay more attention next time (yes, I'll go back), but it seems tacky to have to scrutinize the bill in front of guests. Note to the public: if you don't like the custom of tipping, don't go out to eat; it's you who have created this new trend of everyone being treated like a cheapskate.

Rather not comment. I was very disappointed, parking service very slow and not professional at all. Food over price, restaurant appearance, waitress was very friendly and professional.

My overall experience was great! The only issue I had was that I ordered the seafood gumbo (soup of the day). The waiter brought it to me, and I began eating. It was very delicious. When he came to check on me, I said, "This dish would be great if you all put it with rice." The waiter said it typically comes with rice, but there was an ordering issue, and the restaurant didn't have rice at that time. Annnnnnd, here's my issue: 1.) He never mentioned that when I ordered the dish to give me the option to choose if I still wanted it or not. 2.) Had I not mentioned the rice, he would have never disclosed to me that I didn't have a complete dish. 3.) They should not have been charging full price for literally half a dish. They should have offered a couple of dollars off or a free drink for their mishap. But you don't knowingly serve half of a dish without disclosing that to the customer. Now, I will add that the gumbo was the best I've ever had. I actually placed an additional order to go, and I made rice at home. FREAKIN DELICIOUS! I also had the filet medallions, and my S/O had the NY Strip, and let me tell you... That NY Strip was sooooo good, I actually gave him all my medallions for just half of his steak. I've never finished my steak before. EVER!!! But honey, I did everything but licked that plate, lol. It was theee BEST steak I've ever had! It was seasoned so well. It was actually the first time I understood a steak being so well cooked that you don't need any steak sauce. Everything else was great. I definitely recommend this place. I don't mind paying for good food, and this place is worth every penny. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner.

The broccoli cheese soup was very salty, we received a decent portion but it wasn't served hot. The salmon was ok and the steak was ok. We were seated near the front door near the bar, as though we hadn't made reservations. There was a large step down dining room, and we would have preferred to sit in there than in the traffic zone. We were pretty dissappointed overall. This was our first experience at this restaurant.

The server took everyone's drink order at the table except mine. Even after she delivered everyone's drinks, she still hadn't realized it; I had to point it out. The entree, while very good, was served at room temperature not ot. The hard starchy ends of the asparagus were not cut off. The dessert tasted like it was thawed out and definitely not made in house or fresh. When you charge that much for dinner you should deliver perfection.

Food was good. Prices have gone way up ($70 for a 8 ounce filet) and there are upcharges for side item changes, etc. Also there's no longer free valet parking for dining. It's now $8 plus tip. There are better options in town.

We booked months in advance for our anniversary. Called as well and asked to be at a romantic area in the restaurant. When we arrived we did not have anything on our table as the other couple did which said happy anniversary. Our server did not greet us with a happy anniversary and when I explained we were there to celebrate she said they were out of signs to put in thr table. We were sat next to a dumping station where all servers would dump old food on a tray and it sat there most of our meal. Next to us was a party with screaming children and loud playing of music. When we explained our experience to manager he said sorry and that was it. We have never been to this Shula before and will never go back.

Came for dinner on a Sunday night. Took a good 10 minutes or so after I had been seated for the waitress to come. Had the NY Strip steak and a glass of Zinfandel. The food wasn’t bad per se, but definitely wasn’t worth the $100 it cost me. I’d put the quality of the food on par with Texas Roadhouse or a similar middle-of-the-road chain steakhouse. The wine selection was decent, but nothing to write home about. If my meal cost $50-65; I wouldn’t complain, but at just north of $100, I expect a lot more in terms of quality and service.
