Definitely disappointed in this place after reading the reviews. We were 1 of 2 couples in the place and there were 2 servers. First of all the atmosphere would be a 1 of 5. This doesn't deter me as I'm there for the food. The first thing the server says is we are out of shrimp, mind you it's only 3pm at the time. I ordered the crab cake basket and my husband had the cod basket. Pros- The fish was super fresh and cooked well, the crab cakes were seasoned nicely...
Food is normally good, but last two (takeout) orders have been missing items (cole slaw, fries, hush puppies) and entrees were cold. Kudos for having food ready to go on time, but minuses for not providing full orders Just be sure to open the bags and check your order to be certain it’s complete before you leave. Not enough to make us stop visiting, but will certainly be more cautious.
There's no way to really rate restaurants fairly these days. We didn't eat in the restaurant, we ate in the parking lot. Food was good. Come slaw was best I've had at a restaurant in years. Give it a try.
