1983 is a great new eatery in South Tampa, a sports bar geared towards sporting events with a kid-friendly atmosphere and an arcade. It is a perfect place for parents with kids, offering a fun, low-stress environment where adults can enjoy watching a game while children play. The space is clean and manageable, making it an excellent choice for events like kids' birthday parties, especially on weekend mornings. The atmosphere is a step up with excellent decor, providing a fun night out or a casual family meal.
The food has something for everyone and is consistently great, fresh, and flavorful. Specific highlights include the delicious French Dip, Steak Frites with awesomely seasoned fries, the excellent smash burger, fried green tomatoes, a chicken tender tower, and awesome flatbreads. They also offer unique lunch boxes. The service is outstanding, with a staff that is very friendly, outgoing, attentive, organized, and accommodating. This high level of care and professionalism turns a nice dinner into a truly memorable experience. While drinks can be a little pricey and parking is limited on-site, there are plenty of parking options nearby. Overall, 1983 is a highly recommended spot for food, fun, and excellent service.
