Bad food, and seemingly impossibly, worse service. I felt as neglected as middle-child. The food was just lackluster. The drinks were okay, but the service just inexcusably terrible. So many better options in Tampa.

Oh man. This place has the potential to be great but needs some serious training and leadership. Sooooo slow and disorganized. Not sure where to begin. Went for Easter brunch. First clue should have been that it was not busy. Ordered coffee which they bring in a lovely French press but do not have any alternatives to cream available. Ordered gluten free toast and eggs and berries. Everyone was finished with their complete meal before my eggs arrived. I have a gluten allergy. When my toast came (20 min before my eggs) it did not look gluten free. So so glad I double checked as I get terrible reactions. They remade the toast. My mom had biscuits and gravy. Truly Terrible. Dry and awful. We took her to get something at the nearby food trucks afterwards. Asked for butter for my breakfast toast and was given melted butter like for dipping seafood. Very strange. The berries I ordered came mixed with grapefruit (I was told it was just berries). Unfortunately my meds do not allow any grapefruit so no other fruit option. The wait time for food was over 40 min and everything came out with different timing. My toast came 20 minutes before eggs which are normally eaten together. It’s a shame. Great location and vibe but we would never go again. Too many good options around to mess with The Battery again. Our server was a nice guy but somewhat unfamiliar with the available options and had very few answers to the questions we were asking. I don’t blame the server. It was VERY clear that the management is not training well and the entire operation is poorly organized. Hope they can get it together !

I was with a semi large party. We all ordered drinks and my first drink came out very fast. I ordered another round, same drink and it took 30 minutes. When I ordered my third one it took another 30 minutes. My boyfriend had ordered his 10 mins after mine and he got his first. I was told “that it’s being shaken right now” or just kind of ignored when I asked where it was. I too am a server and understand how it can be stressful and busy and that the drinks are based from the bar’s flow but everyone else kept getting their drinks but me. We got one last round and one of our drinks wasn’t even brought. After a longer service, our server, Mike, dropped our checks. It took him 10 minutes to come back and pick them up so we could pay. It then took him another 10 minutes to run our card, when he came back he gave us 4 cards back when only gave him three. Which then made us wait another 15 minutes to have the situation fixed. He also got the temperature wrong on one of the dinners, actually 2 but the other was too hungry to wait for another meal. It shouldn’t have taken 35+ minutes to pay. It’s a shame the food was accompanied by very poor service as it brought our experience way down.

Atmosphere here is very neat. Unique vibe. Food was good but common and on par with other places in the area. Fresh juices were great. Service was not good at all. Our server didn't drop our meals off and she never even came back to check to see if we needed anything. We had to go get her eventually to get the check.

Fantastic cocktails and restaurant. Made reservations for dinner with friends. Drinks at 5 at the bar, dinner at 6. Our server, Savanna was phenomenal!! She gave us space to talk and visit while ensuring our drinks and meal was served quickly. I highly recommend this hidden gem at Sparkman Whatf.

Service was awful. Understaffed in an empty restaurant shouldn’t warrant a 45 minute wait for whiskey on the rocks. This was a miserable first experience, no empathy from the staff. Couldn’t recommend a place less enough.

We made a reservation and when we got there, we were told you have to be out in a certain amount of time, and we were a large party and it was going to be an expensive meal. Then they severely under cook our steak and instead of giving a never steak, the put the cut one back in the over, burn the outside, and say it is ok. Will never come back.

I ordered the Bee Hive throughout the night along with the Boursin ravioli and lobster bisque. Everything tasted lovely, the ravioli al dente perfect. Lobster bisque is sweeter and has stronger notes of tomato than I expected but it was still perfect. Ordered at the bar without issue and enjoyed a relaxing peaceful afternoon enjoying great food. Satisfied, will return. Thank you!

Good atmosphere. Other than that, not much of a fan. Visited 8 months ago on recommendation from family that it was delicious. Left very disappointed, but was willing to give another shot. Went again, ordered 10 oz filet yo ve cooked Med+. When steak arrived, it was rare. Sent back and literally was back on the table in less than 5 minutes. Needless to say, the meat was not the way I ordered it and at this point I decided to eat the sides. Save the calories, those are disgusting as well. Also, service is very poor and a manager never visited table to check on situation. Will not be going back. Oh and because the Lightning were home, it cost $30 to park in a garage that is normally $2/hour.

Limited vegan options, but what is available is fantastic. I am especially pleased that the vegan pasta dish is fresh, not dry pasta. Last, but not least… the outdoor seating is dog-friendly and great for people-watching.Vegetarian options: Limited but tasty vegan options

What started out as a good experience turned really rough, really quickly. We arrived for our 5:45 reservation and were seated promptly. Server was sweet and knew the menu well. I’m pregnant and she was able to have the bar make me a mocktail and my husband got a great cocktail. I also have a dairy allergy and because it is a scratch kitchen, they were able to make us the calamari dairy free and it was delicious and came out promptly! When it came time to order dinner (which was ordered at the same time as the appetizer), I was between two options but ultimately would have been fine with the vegan pasta if all else failed. One of the two I was between couldn’t be made dairy free but the second, the chicken dish, was already dairy free, I just had to swap the side it came with. No issue there as I swapped it for the vegan fingerling potatoes. My husband ordered the NY strip and a side of the mashed potatoes. It took about an hour for our dinner to come out. Mind you, the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. We were maybe 1 of 5 tables at the time being an early reservation even on Valentine’s Day. And when we left it still was not fully packed and they were very clearly staffed properly. When our food came, my husband was given a plain, cold steak that was clearly overcooked. Then they gave me plain chicken and plain potato wedges. I was extremely confused because the chicken dish was to include chimichurri sauce and seasoning and the potatoes were supposed to come with a peach glaze. The waiter said it was because I was dairy free- but the potatoes as they come are vegan so there was no reason whatsoever to remove anything from it. And the chimichurri has no dairy…nor does seasoning? Turns out they also made my husbands steak dairy free and didn’t season it either. Not to mention my chicken was also ice cold. They took our meals back, and brought mine out with the sauces thrown on it and my husbands cut into being told it was in fact medium rare (it wasn’t). We said the issue remains that our food is cold and bland and looked like it had been sitting there considering it took so long to come out when the restaurant was pretty empty. The server let my husband pick a new item but pretty much ignored the fact that my food was not correct.I finally made eye contact with a manager who took my plate to be remade. My husbands new dish came out and he went ahead to eat. It was probably another 20 min before mine came out and he had already finished eating. So I just asked for mine to be boxed at this point because we had been there coming up on two hours (and I know this because our parking session was about to expire). When the bill came they didn’t event attempt to rectify the situation and had to ask them to take at LEAST my meal off the bill since I didn’t even get to eat it.HIGHLY disappointed with the Battery and would’ve expected better service. I left irritated that we still paid over $100 for a meal that was cold, prepared incorrectly, and didn’t even get to eat together. Lousy Valentine’s Day.

Our favorite bar and atmosphere for a date night or small group.Unfortunately, the food was just okay.. not the quality you would expect from this type of restaurant. Price is higher end, and everything from service, to ambiance, to bar selection fits the price point. Highly disappointed in food quality/taste and we will probably not return for dinner.?️

Our server was awesome! She made the experience great, red pepper pasta was really fresh and had lots of flavor. Cauliflower was also delicious!
