Big Mel's Smoke House BBQ

Very delicious. Ribs were tender and smokey. Brisket was the same... very thick slices. While waiting 3 ppl arrived first thing they asked was about the brisket lol
Baked beans was too cinnamony for me 🤷🏽‍♀️

Mel hooked me up with a sample while waiting and I was already sold but when I got home and tasted everything I became a forever customer ! He hooked it up and was really nice , don't drive by this treasure!

I really appreciate Mel helping our track team so last minute. Everyone really enjoyed the food. It was seasoned well and the BBQ sauce tasted like it was homemade. Also, the food portions were very generous.

I actually like his meats. When I got there he was out of everything, but I prepaid for his meat special and I didn't regret it (even though it was a little more burned than usual). I think he may have overcharged in taxes, but overall I was satisfied and I will definitely be back because that sausage was delicious. I had the ribs and chicken as well. He's a very friendly guy and always has a smile for you. Go check him out, you'll be glad you did.

Years later and the food is still amazing. Some of the best ribs, BBQ chicken, and chicken wings in Tampa. The prices are very reasonable as well. Any time that I want some good BBQ but don't feel like grilling, this is my go-to spot.

Wow! welcome to FL style barbecue. Mel puts his heart and soul into every succulent bite. You can taste that the ribs are properly prepared with the right amount of trimming done to preserve the flavor without being greasy. meat was tender smoky and pulled from the bone easily. Mac and cheese was rich and cheddary without being too runny and noodles were done perfectly. Collard greens were to die for with bits of smoked turkey and tender to the fork. The baked "Cowboy style" beans with ground beef, hints of cinnamon and maple were a signature treat and made me want more and more. 5 stars in my book!

The most authentic Florida style bbq you can get. Ribs and chicken perfection. Baked beans, mac and cheese, and collard greens as homemade as they come. Cooked by Mel himself. Cannot recommend this place more. The real deal.
