I came all the way from Orlando in search for the best Haitian food in the state. I haven't been too impress from what I tasted in Orlando, me and my family venture to Tampa. Last night we found a restaurant that was amazing! Fried snapper was really good. They had black rice that was outstanding. Last, the griot (fried pork) was tender and well seasoned. Don't let the price fool you. It is alot of food for what you pay for. Great for families on a budget but you are trying to get good food. I'll be back!

The food was amazing. I got the turkey in sauce. The group I was with were waiting almost 1.5 hours for food. It was a Sunday and after ordering which took a while, we were sitting there hungry. The staff were lovely.

Rejine and Thoby are amazing. When we walked in, we were greeted by a smiling Rejine. She took our order and the food came out in no time and was hot. The food reminded me of my childhood. Everything was amazing.

My friend got the birria ramen, the blue lemonade, & the tajin & chamoy gummies. he said the ramen had an amazing flavor & was very filling, the blue lemonade was a slightly sweet but still refreshing, & the gummies were so good he couldn't stop eating them. I did steal some of them to try & can concur that if I was not absolutely stuffed from my food that I would have kept eating them as well. I had the street corn & the birria pizza which were both amazing! The street corn & the birria pizza were not small by any means. I actually ended up taking a bit of both home to have for lunch the next day, & as a big back foodie that is rare for me to do. The pizza can be a bit messy while eating so beware of that if you plan on ordering it.

All the good Haitian food is in Tampa and I never know where to go. I googled and decided to give this place a try and boy am I glad I did it’s a little hidden gem. I loved the vibe on the inside and was very impressed by the food. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for some authentic Haitian cuisine.

I want the whole world to know that my unfortunate experience at Bon Zanmi Restaurant in Tampa was really an isolated issue. I really appreciate how the owner promptly reached out to me and walked the extra mile to right everything. We are human beings and mistakes happen but what really help a few, including Thoby and his wife, to stand out is their ability to acknowledge any type of mismatch or shortcoming and address them swiftly and nicely. I recently had a graduation party that they catered and omg, the food was AMAZING!!! When it was time for pick up, the full order was readily available on time and it was correct. I truly appreciate the professionalism when booking my catering order. The food was amazing to the point I didn’t allow the guests to take food home cause I wanted the left overs for our home! Sorry, not sorry! I definitely recommend! Everyone loved it —both my Haitian and American guests❤️🇭🇹🇭🇹
