I had a very disappointing experience. They automatically added a 50% tip to my bill without informing me or asking for consent, which is outrageous. To make matters worse, they still prompted me to add another tip on top of that!
This kind of practice feels deceptive and completely unfair to customers. Tipping should always be a choice, not something sneakily added. I would have happily tipped for good service, but this approach left a very bad impression.
Be sure to check your receipt carefully if you visit. I won’t be returning.

Great friendly place! Outdoor upstairs bar is a great place to hang out
Great bartenders and great atmosphere. Food is mid at best for the price/area 15$ burrito was the size of a chimichanga the chips/salsa it came with were canned/bagged cheap trash. Im 150lbs with a pretty small appetite I left hungry. basically every other place u can get tacos/mexican the within 5 miles is better and most are cheaper or at least bigger portions. Cool spot for a happy hour drink tho.
Edit to add my check came with a 15% “auto gratuity” mentioned nowhere until then. Without this kinda of shenanigans Id have left a good tip but with it they get that 15%. 🤷🏻♂️ wont be back

I visited Tampa for the fifth year in a row and decided to stop by a spot we had enjoyed in the past.
It’s definitely changed…. Not all changes are for the best especially in this case!
The most disappointing part was the behavior of a man who seemed to be the owner or manager. He was berating customers at the door for not seeing him taking ID’s and people needing to use the restroom that happens to be by the entrance. It created a tense environment from the moment we walked in. His loud, animated behavior—yelling, throwing his hands around—was not only disruptive, but also deeply disrespectful.
It was uncomfortable to witness, and it really tainted the vibe of the place. No matter how nice the place may be, no one wants to spend time in a place where the management acts like that. Definitely not the welcoming atmosphere we remembered.

Didn’t eat here but the NEW owner taking over was so friendly and super nice . He’s really trying to change the place around. Night life and during the day is amazing
Defiantly gotta check it out !!

The place is under new management, the vibe is great, and once they work out the kinks (just opened May 23) it’ll be great. The owners are chill, the drinks are good, service was quick. Recommend at least checking it out and going from there.

Very bad. Only veg option available was cheese quesadilla for $14. Was the most basic thing I could make at home. Came with a tiny thing of jar salsa and lettuce. Automatic gratuity. $25 with a tip, will never return

Great place! Though it was called green parrot rather than center cantina. Got the trio dips and the queso was awesome. Also got the empanadas which were great- that sauce was incredible. Margaritas were 10/10

Overpriced, bland, and basic food. We had a pork burrito and a veg bowl. Par-boiled rice, flavorless black beans and the burrito was served with Tostitos chips & salsa. Can’t speak for the drinks but I certainly wouldn’t eat here again. There’s also an undisclosed 18% auto-gratuity.

Life music/DJ was great. Got sat at a dirty with someone’s else’s open straws on the table and server didn’t even bother to give it a wipe. Server was super nice but way more attentive to other customers and didn’t really check on us, had to flag down other servers just to get her attention. The trio dip wasn’t anything worth raving about. Glorified adult nacho lunchable with gauc straight out of the Sabarro guacamole little circle servings.. won’t be back
