We had an awesome time once again at Cepas. We have always loved coming for the good food and drinks and this time we came for something a little more special. My husband and I decided to do something a little low key and find out our babies gender over desert. Ashley and Chavi along with another wonderful gentlemen, who we always get the pleasure of being waited on by, took the time to put something beautiful together and reveal that we were having a baby boy. They went above and beyond in making it so beautiful for us it brought us to complete tears! We can’t thank you all enough for taking the time in creating a memorable experience in celebrating a new life coming into our world. Cheers to many more years of coming to Cepas. ?

Cepas Wine and Tapas Bar is a restaurant/wine bar located in the Carrollwood area. It is a small restaurant with limited indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant does not take reservations, so expect a wait on the weekends. Things I like: The food is served tapas style and everything we tried was delicious! I particularly loved the Baked Empanadas, Jamon Serrano Flatbread, and the Tortilla de Patatas. The food tasted fresh and was prepared well. Things I didn't like: It was difficult to obtain seating on a Friday night. I'd suggest visiting early in the night or on a weeknight. Overall, a great spot in the Carrollwood area. Highly recommended!

I've been going to this restaurant for over 2 years now. I always order the Lomo dish, I've never had a problem before with ordering this dish a certain way by removing Fried egg, mushrooms and cilantro. Today the owner decided that I could not remove these items and I must order as is because it takes away from the dish. I was in shock with the horrible service and response I received from the owner he said"You can just pick out what you don't like" 1 decided to cancel my order. I will take my business and money elsewhere, this is very disappointing. As a paying customer, I should not have to explain to them why I ordered this way, the reasoning behind this. I explained "I'm allergic to Mushrooms and I refuse to waste food that I will not eat fried egg" Keep in mind the price does not change if you remove items from the dish. Not sure why this became a problem and why he thought it was acceptable to be disrespectful to a loyal customer. It's very upsetting to be treated this way, please beware.

Nice little place with indoor and outdoor seating. Great wine selection. The Rioja Charcuterie board was awesome, as were their regular and happy hour food specials. Service was there when we needed it, but not "in your face" annoying. It was worth the 40 minute drive. We'll go again.

The choices for Tapas is very limited. The padrón peppers were not the correct pepper and were super spicy. The menus had 3 empanadas for $12. They brought us two and said the menus was wrong. They ended up charging only $8 and removing the peppers. The service personnel attitude was not nice and were very contrary. The black paella was very good. Overall a 5 out of 10. Not a place I would revisit, the restaurant was loud and crowded.

Excellent selection of wine and tapas. Went during happy hour and tried several tapas selections. All were excellent. Sangria was lovely and service was perfect even though very busy.

They have a nice tapas happy hour! if you love chocolate their chocolate cake is fudgey and rich but for something a little lighter the cheesecake hands down with passionfruit and mango
