I haven’t eaten here in years because I moved out of town. Today I had the most delicious steak sandwich and delectable sweet potato fries. Brittney was my server/bartender and she absolutely made my day. I remember her from a long time ago when I was a regular at the original Charanns. We live in the metro Atlanta suburbs but if driving within 50 miles of Tampa, Charann’s Tavern is always on the list. Warning, after experiencing the ribeye steak thinly sliced perfectly cooked on the steamed hoagie you’ll be hooked. Truly amazing!
Charann's is a classic Tampa staple, famous for their cheesesteaks. My family has been coming here for many many years, and even though I live in Texas I make it a point to stop here every time I'm in town. I like the Hot Cheesesteak, and yes, it's actually spicy, definitely not for the faint of heart. The service is always good, I've never had to wait for someone to take my order, or refill my drink once I've ordered.
