Our dinner was delicious. We each got the filet w different sides. The corn and the baked potato. Both equally delicious. The farmers margarita, was to die for. Loved and had to order a second!!! The only thing that was a bust was our server. No personality. She was totally annoyed that we had kids at our table. But we were one of about 5 tables in the place. So till back Betty, lets us enjoy our $500 meal. 5 for the food. But the waitress was a bust!

Our anticipation for an exquisite birthday meal was palpable as we stepped into the steakhouse, eager to indulge in a memorable dining experience. Unfortunately, what awaited us fell far short of our expectations. As we perused the menu, hoping to select the perfect dishes to celebrate the occasion, our excitement waned as our waiter struggled to provide basic information about the offerings. This lack of knowledge cast a shadow over our hopes for a seamless and enjoyable evening. The disappointment only grew as we sampled the appetizers, with the shrimp and cocktail sauce tasting decidedly stale and uninspired. Our hearts sank as we realized that the culinary journey we had envisioned for this special occasion was quickly unraveling. Despite our efforts to communicate our dietary restrictions, it became apparent that they were not being taken into consideration. This oversight left us feeling marginalized and overlooked, especially on a night that was meant to be a celebration of life and good food. The underwhelming cocktails further dampened our spirits, with their lackluster presentation and taste failing to justify the exorbitant prices. It was disheartening to realize that what we had hoped would be a luxurious dining experience was turning out to be nothing more than a costly disappointment. Ultimately, we made the difficult decision to abandon our plans and seek out another restaurant where we could salvage the remainder of the evening. It was a bittersweet moment as we left, realizing that our hopes for a memorable birthday meal had been dashed. Yet, we found solace in the fact that we hadn't allowed ourselves to settle for anything less than exceptional, ultimately finding a more fulfilling dining experience elsewhere.

Four of us went today for the Easter brunch. All four of us were disappointed. They mostly had breakfast foods, save for the prime rib and carved ham. Homestyle and purple potatoes along with scrambled eggs were the only "sides". As this was brunch, we assumed there would be more than just breakfast foods being served. We were wrong. At the very least they could have served mashed potatoes to go along with the prime rib and another side to complement the ham. Our waiter, Gerald, was the best thing about the meal. Also, we were told that valet parking would be complimentary with a dining reservation, which we had. We were told this by the parking manager, Bernard. However, the attendant Nori decided that she overruled the manager and tried to charge for the parking. And she was very rude about it. Needless to say between the disappointing meal and the rude parking attendant, we will NOT be back.Parking: Supposedly the valet parking is free if you have a dining reservation.

Our experience at Driftlight was not a good one. Our salad and soup were great but our steaks ordered medium came out Well done at best. The wait staff was excellent and the manager apologized and tried to provide us with new steaks but after waiting another 15+ mins and still no steaks - we decided to leave. The manager didn't charge us for the steaks but this put a damper on the evening overall as we were excited to try a new place and left disappointed.

Came here for dinner at 8:45 on a Wednesday night. I was sat immediately, the service here was fantastic. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is very fancy and aesthetic, they had a huge display of their wine selection upon walking in. I ordered an espresso martini (my favorite) This espresso martini was really good, it tasted more like coffee than anything which I appreciated. I ordered the bread as a starter, it was so good! The butter was delicious, the bread was fluffy and warm. After my meal I even ordered another bread to take to go. For the entree I ordered the ribeye cooked medium, braised mushrooms, roasted asparagus and the pommes purée. The ribeye was so tasty and flavorful, cooked perfectly. I wasn't a big fan of the braised mushrooms, and I usually adore mushrooms. I'd pass on this side, however the asparagus and the purée was delicious. The asparagus was so buttery I was surprised by how much I loved it. Although I am not the biggest fan of carrot cake, I read through other reviews that the carrot cake here was incredible, so I knew I must try it out for myself. I have to say, i can see what it is raved about so much. It was very delicate and moist, my date and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I would love to dine here again and explore more of the menu when I visit Tampa again!

Ridiculously overpriced breakfast. $25 for eggs--chose an omelette, which to my surprise didn't even include toast or meat. On top of that there's was zero flavor. I had to season it myself with salt, pepper, and hot sauce to taste anything. Overall my breakfast came out to over $50 with tip. 2 stars instead of 1 because my server, Julie, was lovely.

Beware, The following statement is from the Driftlight web page - "Guests who visit Driftlight Steakhouse will receive complimentary valet up to three hours when they spend $40 or more." The restaurant validated our valet parking pass, yet they charged me $25 ($26.88 with tax.) We spent well over $40 yet still charged for parking. The food and service was good, but doubt if I will return knowing that I will have spent $25 before I was ever seated.Parking: Read the above review

Ate here for dinner. Food was great and the service was outstanding. Atmosphere is very cool but the restaurant is noisy. I highly recommend a reservation as this is a busy hotel. We tied to go here for breakfast but there was a long wait and we were in a hurry to catch a flight.

Ennis is just an incredible server who doesn't miss a detail and anticipates your every need. He's simply the best! He never stops - his work ethic is impeccable. We visit their breakfast buffet a few times every six months.

While most restaurants near my hotel were jammed - busy and loud, Driftlight was a welcome quieter room with space between the tables. The service by Neil was prompt - a glass of wine within a few minutes of being seated and the food arrived soon after the order. When the meal concluded there was no rush to leave the table. Would highly recommend the scallops! Expect about $100 per person plus tip as is typical of a higher end steakhouse. Amazing wine list - with some very very high end wines and a few "value priced" options too!

We had a large group come here for dinner with a lot of our coworkers. Our director had made a reservation before hand which I do recommend - although we came on a Thursday night of a big conference. We got seated in the big back table and it was very fancy. The place was a nice vibe - good lighting not too dim. For food - we decided to get a bunch of items to share for appetizers: -Calamari : so delicious - recommend this, so crispy and good -Crabcakes: This was meh to me and I would pass on ordering this again -Bread plate: SO DELICIOUS, it was sweet potato bread and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this -For the main meal - my coresident and I shared the Tomahawk rib eye with the garlic butter and wedge salad to start; absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection and the garlic butter made everything so much better. We also got a side of corn which was so good! -For dessert we got the espresso cheesecake which came with a side of chips ; the sweet and salty flavors were very unique but the cheesecake was a little on the heavier side for me. Overall - great food and great vibes; highly recommend checking this place out.
