The prices are very high for a small empanada! No one is the restaurant at noon and I ordered a Cuban sandwich and I was told it would be 15 minutes! The sweet empanada was no great shakes and was small and $6. Certainly not worth the money!

I was on the hunt for baked empanadas and found this little gem. The selection is impressive with about a dozen varieties each of sweet and savory pastries. Everything, including the dough, is made in their shop. The classic beef empanada was delicious and I really liked the southwest chicken (even if it's a bit Americanized). Two empanadas were filling and, since they were not fried, hopefully a bit healthier. The staff were as warm, friendly, and welcoming as can be. The seating area is pretty small and they also have a little patio outside. I will definitely be back.

We decided to give Empanada World a try when walking through the Sunday Hyde Park market. There were no prices posted but figured they couldn't be that expensive. Based on the recommendation, I went with the southwest chicken and the spinach pie. These things weren't that big. The southwest chicken was really dry, it needed a sauce or spice. For the spinach pie it was decent, more spinach flavor than cheese. What I didn't expect was the price for these two small items, $18. Kinda too pricey for the portion size. It was nice to try but I wouldn't recommend getting anything from here based on my visit.

Ordered some mini empanadas for a pot luck lunch - they were delicious and a hit with everyone!

I came in on a wim, and couldn't have been happier with my lunch choice. I had a Horsey cuban that was out of this world, and a feta and spinach empanada that was fresh baked!

Not bad, recommend you try this place - I just prefer more authentic empanadas and Cuban sandwiches. It seems they are more into presentation than quality.

Gave me a stomach ache and aren't hygienic. They drop things and don't wash them and your coffee might taste like bleach because of how they clean their milk steamer. They also leave out empanadas out for hours.

First time I stopped at the storefront, but not the first time I have had these delicious empanadas. Baked, much better than fried, and the fillings are first rate. Recommend

Randomly looked up a place to quickly grab some food and it was the absolute best experience from walking in, the atmosphere, the service was so genuine. Jan was absolutely amazing, informative, and just all around so pleasant to be around. Truly an amazing family owned restaurant and will absolutely be back!

The best empanadas you can find! So many different flavors, including desserts and they are baked, not fried. So yummy! Sweet family-owned place.

Ive given the place two tries. I’ve tried their empanadas a few weeks ago- they left a lot to be desired especially with the over priced cost! I thought maybe it was just a fluke but after my second visit it’s clear it was not. The empanadas are definitely not seasoned and taste like they’re maybe purchased from a store premade + frozen. I’m confused with the pricing if they are store bought- why so overpriced? Anyhow, my second and last chance I’ll give this place showed me the products aren’t fresh & apparently falsely advertised. As a Tampa native we know how an authentic Cuban sandwich should be made IF the restaurant is going to portray it as such. The cuban sandwich is NOT authentic. There was NO Shredded mojo pork-it was store bought lunch meat. It’s basically a lunch meat style sandwich on cuban bread. Not a real cuban. Perhaps non-natives won’t know what they’re actually supposed to taste like, but a native knows- we know just by looking at it. Also, I would’ve stayed and ate in the restaurant but it was extremely hot in there. I could barely stand being in there while waiting for an absurd amount of time that it took to make the sandwich. There were no other customers so it’s beyond me why it took so long. In closing, I definitely won’t be a returning customer. At least their employees were kind & were apologizing for my wait. I’ll just drive way out of my way to Ybor city if I want to have a real cuban sandwich. Super disappointed!!Parking: Parking is tight & can be hard to grab an empty spot!

Yeah! Some of the best and put outlets I've ever had. Love how these are baked and not fried. Lots of unique flavors. I tried two of them I believe I had one that was like a Philly cheesesteak or something. It was delicious. The owner is very friendly and she avoids processed foods as much as possible in her baked goods. You can tell she cares and she is very proud of the amazing Empanadas she has created
