As stated in other reviews, Express is clearly only after profits over people. I needed to return some items which I thought I would have 30 days from when I received item however it is 30 days from when order was placed. As express is usually pretty good about getting items quickly I’ve never run into this problem. However this time, there was severe weather impacting delivery times (even snow in Florida, which hasn’t happened in many many years) and when I went to return my items, I was unable. First, I was told to call a number by express cashier to get bounced back and forth between two numbers (not even a call transfer). When I was finally asked after a few transfers to talk to management, I was hung up on. I asked the manager to call for me (she was hesitant and not very helpful). The supervisor for their customer service line was also incredibly unhelpful saying it was policy and there was no room for exceptions as they had changed their policy in 2024 without even an email explaining said changes only “we have updated our terms and conditions”. It’s manipulative and backhanded and I will be looking for another competitor to spend money at instead.
The customer service at this Express location is not what it used to be—it’s gone downhill. Maurice, in particular, needs serious training. I waited in line far too long because he was taking an excessive amount of time with the previous customer. When I politely asked if he could bring another cashier, he simply shook his head “no.”
To make matters worse, I saw the manager standing behind the register, but instead of stepping in, she made eye contact with me and walked away. Maurice then attempted to process a return for me that was well within the holiday return window, but their system claimed my receipt was non-returnable. When I asked him to call Express’s online services for assistance, he pointed to the phone number in front of me and said I can call it.
I ended up calling, and the representative quickly resolved the issue. I put the call on speaker, and the rep had to explain to Maurice how to do his job. What truly shocked me, though, was that the manager, who had avoided helping earlier, suddenly appeared to assist the next customer.
I miss the days when Express made me feel like a valued customer. Associates used to offer help and make thoughtful suggestions, but now the staff seems miserable, and customers are treated like a burden.
Thank you for my birthday gift!!!!
I had such a lovely experience with Alyssa! I was looking for a formal dress for myself for a Christmas party and I was having a very hard time feeling comfortable trying on dresses. Alyssa asked me how I was feeling about the dresses I had picked and I wasn’t loving them. Alyssa grabbed 8 different dresses in various styles and color and she was SO helpful. She was such a lovely individual and made the experience fun. I felt beautiful trying on the dresses she picked and ended up buying two. Thank you Alyssa!
Found what I was looking for, but I will never shop at this location again. The manager clearly does not appreciate customers that are keeping the store in business. I won't be surprised if the store is gone within a year. Smh I love express but I'll just take the drive out to the outlet.

This is not a critique on this specific store, but rather company policy.
They have a no exception to their 30-day return policy, including in the cases of natural disasters such as the 2 recent hurricanes that affected the Tampa Bay area. The 30-days are calendar days regardless if the store is open or closed. So what that means is if the store decides to open 15/30 days, then you now only have 15 days to return. Keep in mind, you might have lost your house, your car, you might have to physically fight somebody to get gas, or defy local governemnt orders to enter an evacuation zone, but yes you still need to return your purchase within the return window, regardless if the store is open to accept it. Express is begging its costumer base to prioritize them and risk their life to return their items with absolutely no regard for any real world challenges its customers. The best part is, if you show up to their store to return an item and they are closed (due to a natural disaster) they won’t even honor that. How can we be responsible for your management and your decision to close your store, esp when you expect us to be responsible to return your product in your arbitrary timeframe?
Bottom line. Make sure you like what you buy, because you will need to cut off your arm and leg to try to return it. You know lots of other retailers, esp in this mall, actually offer fair return policies that account for times of crisis. Thank you for shedding light on how this corporation values profit over people.
Express clothe quality is not in balance with the prices. Designs are great for my taste, but t-shirts quality is terrible. Only recommend to pay clearance prices here.
Never ever buying from Express ever again. Their new store return policy: if you ever get a gift from someone from this store make sure you get a receipt, phone number or something from them. This store has to track down the transaction. So next time you receive a gift from someone. Say awww thank you, but by the way do you have the receipt or how did you purchased my gift? Ridiculous!
The one asian girl that works here has a terrible attitude, went in for a few returns, and she was giving me such a snotty attitude. Hello, you're there to work. HORRIBLE customer service! Avoid her people

I just ran in to get my first suit for my professional sales class. Honestly, it’s been a while since I’ve gone into the mall and has such great customer service in person. Alyssa was quick, kind, professional, and helped me find the perfect fitting/looking suit. Honestly made my day and will def be coming back to see her in the future.
