The only way this restaurant could be better is with more hours and locations. Their food is the most delicious vegan Italian I've ever eaten. I ordered the carbonara. Creamy, cheesy, delicious cashew sauce with fresh peas and mushrooms perfectly cooked. Bow tie pasta was an unexpected and pretty change. This was as good as any dairy-based Italian. I would hold the grated vegan cheese next time only because it has an aftertaste I don't enjoy. I cannot wait to return and try others!

After a couple years of following this place on IG, I really wanted to give it a try. I've never been to a vegan Italian eatery so my expectations were unsure to say the least. I've been vegetarian for about 6 years now and love to eat vegan food whatever chance I get.Anyway, I did take out and tried some hot menu items. I did the vegan caesar (A+), tofu parmesean (A-), bolognese (C), cacio e pepe (A++).Honestly the food is amazing and well executed. The only thing that I wasn't a fan of was the sauce on the bolognese as it had a funky nutty flavor not traditionally found in bolognese sauce.The pasta is very good and almost tastes freshly made. The portions are pretty good and the presentation is relaxed and inviting.There are a lot of vegan places I feel that miss the mark and their food almost tastes without regard for the taster but at Ground Foods, I found and felt that the chef is truly trying to create good. Authentic, cruelty free Italian food.I would love to take friends or a date here and try the food in the restaurant as I did take out. P.S. you guys have perfected your cacio e pepe. wow

Cute clean place, ate the FRA DIAVOLO. Spicy chili paste in a creamy pink sauce with mushrooms it was very spicy but really good. I would eat it again.

Super delicious and hearty Italian food! The crust on the pizza is soft and chewy yet crispy, and penne alla vodka was delicious. Still thinking about it now! Everything else on the menu looked great and I will definitely be back. Friendly staff.

Absolutely amazing! Just had to show my love for this place! I ordered the Baked Ziti with gluten free noodles and added mushrooms.. it was heavenly! My husband ordered the Salsiccia Pizza (the crumbles are spicy seitan sausage pieces). We also shared the potato wedges with buffalo ranch, which were so tasty. Absolutely love the food here! Best vegan Italian food EVER.

This was THE BEST Italian vegan food I’ve ever had…and the fact that they had gluten-free options was the cherry on top. Plan to eat here again before this vacation is over. Don’t pass this place up!!!! Go now. Tell all your friends. Try the potato wedges with the creamy mustard sauce…you’ll thank me. ?

Hello hello hello!!! First and foremost I am not a Vegan. And so what say those who are...maybe you should be. I only made the comment to say this...Ground foods is delicious and I don't miss anything that their ingredients don't include....you know dairy based cheese, meat etc. (duh). I recently had the Ricotta pizza. It's topped with parmesan "cheese", the most delicious almond based dollops of "ricotta" and parsley and just the right amount of garlic. I could / would literally eat it everyday and if not just a little bit... a LOT because it's just that good. Didn't think I'd say this because I'm a huge fan of gooey stretchy cheese one might find on a traditional pizza but seriously - give the flavor profile would put it up against many of the locals here in the heights offering a non-vegan variety. Even the crust was delightful. It's just that good and very satisfying!!! Can't wait to try something else. If you're listening Ground foods....veggie lasagna please

I've tried so many vegan restaurants in so many different states. This is absolutely one of the best I've been too, and I'm not even a huge fan of Italian food (probably because I've never had any this good). You can tell everything is made fresh from real food. At first I thought it was a bit pricey, but the taste alone justifies it + the portion sizes are huge. Usually my leftovers are enough for another meal.

Loved this place. We ordered potato wedges , Caesar salad and vodka penne pasta. Everything was amazing. I am not vegan but couldn't tell that there was no cheese in it.

I’ve been meaning to try this place for months but was never in the neighborhood during open hours. After finally getting to try it, my overall experience was disappointing.We ordered the Buffalo Wedges as an appetizer – the taste showed potential, but the wedges themselves were so soggy and bland that it ruined the dish. I got the feeling they had been sitting out for hours and tossed in the microwave before plating. For main course we got the Carbonara and the Buffalo Alfredo – both pastas were good, but they cost $15/$16 and the portions are at least two times bigger than any reasonable human being needs to consume in one meal. I would much rather pay $11/$12 a dish for a normal portion – I found the price / portion situation very confusing.My other main complaint applies to Ground Foods Café and the vegan restaurant industry as a whole – why does everyone insist on doing counter-serve instead of a normal sit-down dining experience? If we want to normalize the vegan lifestyle, we should have restaurants that more closely align with a traditional dining experience.I want to reiterate that the pasta itself tasted very good, and if you did a blind taste test, I doubt many people would realize they were made with vegan ingredients. But for the other issues I mentioned, I don’t see myself being a repeat customer.
