Hampton Chocolate Factory is not a dessert shop. It’s a controlled demolition of your self-control.

These photos don’t even do it justice. What you’re looking at is a towering, over-the-top ice cream creation that looks like it was designed by a mad scientist with a sweet tooth and zero regard for moderation. Thick scoops of ice cream buried under mountains of brownie chunks, cookie crumbles, and a triple-threat drizzle of chocolate and caramel that just keeps going. It’s not “drizzled.” It’s flooded. And I respect that.

Every bite is chaos in the best way. Crunch, cream, fudge, cookie, melt, repeat. The cup is barely hanging on under the weight of its own glory. Even the tray is surrendering, catching the overflow like, “I tried.”

This is the kind of place you come when you’re not playing games. You don’t stop here for a “little treat.” You stop here to make a statement. Birthdays. Date nights. “I survived today” nights. This is dessert with purpose.

Fair warning: bring a spoon, a friend, and a willingness to accept that your diet just called in sick.

My wife and I shared the chocolate strawberry cup and it was phenomenal! The team was super professional and helpful and the pricing was very fair! Definitely will be coming back!

Not sure if I get the hype around this place - way too sweet and overpriced. Glad we went on a night when there was no line, otherwise, I would have regretted it even more.

So what is all the hype about this place having The World’s Largest Ice Cream Cone?

Nestled into the Tampa waterfront, sits a small but impactful storefront. I was excited to just see someone with the world’s largest ice cream cone coming in at about 5 lbs.

As I walked up, it became evident people were here for some good ice cream and desserts. The line hung out the door for about 5-10 before I just walked in for pictures. Didn’t see anyone up front with a cone, but on my way out, did look over (no pic) to see a family going at The world’s largest cone.

My recommendation is to go early, especially if the weather is nice and/or a holiday.

I absolutely love this place, I come here all the time as a local and the service and quality is top tier!! They are super friendly and the portion sizes are great!

Hampton is always my favorite ice cream spot for soft serve sundaes. They are always turning out some new creative iteration. Several months ago a PBJ sundae came out and it was basically life changing.
