The variety of sundaes and the taste of them made us all very happy. My son said the strawberry sundae was the best he’s ever had. We enjoyed every minute of our visit.
I’m usually well impressed with Hampton Chocolate Factory. I’ve lived in Saint Petersburg area for 2 years and Hampton has been my go to for myself and family when they come to town. The last three times that I have visited the ice cream and toppings were very scarce and my order was not correct. I did speak with a manager concerning the problem and the ice cream was made over the exact same way. Some of the employees attitudes lack courtesy and excellent customer service. I except good character in customer service where a service is provided. Customer support the business.
Water based ice cream swirl dress with fancy toppings, i should know when enter to the place that all what i saw on Instagram it was just that, cheap ice cream machine dispenser with fancy toppings, nothing else, did not taste well, really don't get it all the great reviews, service and place were ok, but not recommend to anyone
Definitively paying for the honor of seeing and being seen. Had much better quality at other ice cream shops. $30 for 3 to have "mini" cups was not worth a repeat visit. Vanilla had more of an ice milk texture. Not as rich as was hoped for.
It might say it's a chocolate factory but don't expect to find any chocolate here. They have pre packaged little containers that taste like they've been there a year if they were there a day. And at 15 dollars for one is extremely overpriced. They need to change their name to ice cream shop NOT chocolate factory. This place is the furthest from it
Not what I expected. I thought this would be more of a formal setting with tables, wait service with Specialized coffees, etc. It’s not. First, the staff are all young high school kids that did a good job, but no adult to manage them. The ice cream was average at best. After you receive your order, the only tables are outside in the heat, so you can’t relax or your ice cream melts. The parking? There is none. It’s at the port and people are everywhere. This business is geared toward people getting on and off cruise ships. I would recommend going to Devito’s Italian Specialties in downtown Tampa. Bella!
Used wayy too many chocolate chips , mid at best. Could be replicated at home with a freaking bag of ice heavy cream and flavorings from Walmart . Homemade ice cream is 10000 times better. Giant Stryrofoam ice cream cone crowding the seating area so big backs can’t emerge . Limited selection all involved with chocolate. For a “factory” their expertise is devioussss. It’s giving millennial burger joint
It’s not bad, their ice cream is solid and their portion sizes are HUGE. Definitely recommend getting the mini size, as anything larger becomes too much for one person to eat alone. Their prices are pretty reasonable considering it is downtown, but other than their menu items, the actual packaged chocolates and other treats arent really worth it. The ice cream itself can be a little overwhelming though.

Chocolate is grainy and doesn’t taste anything like the flavors we bought. Prices are extortionate for the horrible taste that ended up in the garbage

Fun environment and super cool ice cream. John was great!
We flew in from Ohio specifically to visit this place. Followed then on Instagram for a while now and was excited to finally eat here. The first night was great. Loved everything. However the second and last night we stopped here my wife ordered a milkshake, and what she got was basically milk with some nestle quik in it. Hardly any ice cream, no whip cream in which she ordered, and was nothing like the milkshake she ordered the night before. When she asked the young man behind the counter about it, he just looked at her, turned around and walked away. I would hope this was an isolated incident.
Way too busy, too long of a wait, everything is way too expensive, McDonald’s soft serve is better, marshmallows hand picked from Swiss miss packets, chocolate sauce is ok.
Great experience. Bland taste.
It was entertaining to watch them make what we ordered but once I got it I wasn't impressed.
The ice cream is ice milk/soft serve. The strawberries were sour so a sweeter ice cream would have been perfect to balance the flavors. The chocolate did all the heavy lifting for my sundae. Shakes are also made from the soft serve so they're not rich nor creamy.
2 layered shakes and a sundae was $45. That would have been fair if it tasted as good as it looks.
We went on a Tuesday night and was met with a long wait time (30 mins) and limited seating.
To be fair I visited after seeing a social media post about the place, so it may have been long lines for that reason.
