Chicken was super tender and food was super flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised after trying this for my first time. Food for cost is super good. Very pleasant staff. Can’t wait to eat here again.

Food was hot and fresh, portions were generous. I thought it was a restaurant but it’s a food truck in the corner. Some items weren’t available at the time so it’s best to check before going. This was my first time trying this takeout spot and will come back again. Gentleman who was the only worker was very nice. Prices weren’t bad for the amount of food you get.

Good Evening! I've been coming to jerk hut since 2007 at the original Fowler location. We came to visit family and friends this weekend. We stopped by yesterday evening and ordered several items to take back with us to Virginia because they don't have a real authentic Jamaican restaurant. We ordered the large oxtail dinner NO gravy , whole jerk chicken dinner to get nothing but leg quarters NO BREAST or WINGS and the jerk pork dinner was completely dry. Andrew I don't know what was going on last night but this is my first time ever being DISAPPOINTED.... Hopefully on my next trip things will be better and the bar tender buttocks aren't all out...

The food was the worst Jamaican style I’ve ever had. It was extremely bland, the jerk chicken, cabbage and rice beans were bland like some white person cooked it.

It's the takeout that I was disappointed with. Typically, one-half of a chicken means a cut down the middle (wing, breast, thigh and leg). What I received was two leg/thigh quarters that were on the dry side. Although I was told I could bring it back, I was already home, it was late and that was dinner for two. I enjoy the food when I dine in, but I was disappointed with the take-out. I'd advise you look at your food before leaving. If I order again, I'll do just that. Other than this, I'd recommend them.

Jerk chicken and ox tail meals. Both very good. Ox tail was tender with alot of flavor. Rice and beans were fluffy and well seasoned with the gravy. Jerk chicken was good too, the flavor didn't penetrate all through the chicken like other places but the flavor was there for every bite. It is a good truck with only a couple tables but it was busy when we arrived. People mainly ordered to go.

I've been here many times and LOVE IT! Food is always fresh and good. I would have given 5 Star, but every time I ask for less rice, more Cabbage. They say yes, but I never get it.

I visited Tampa in January '23 and kept passing by this place at the wrong hours. For three days, I tried to visit for lunch so I could try the ox tail, and for three dayhs I failed to make it at the right time. When I returned to Tampa in November '23 and stayed at the same nearby hotel, I made a point of trying to visit this place again. I finally made it, and I was so not disappointed. The wait was worth it.I had never tried ox tail before, so I had to give it a try here. It was much like stewed beef, but with a ton of bone. It was definitely tasty, but kind of hard to eat. I'm glad for the experience, but probably wouldn't get this dish again. However, I also tried some of my wife's jerk pork. For that, I was totally blown away. I loved every aspect of it, from the grilled flavor to the seasoning. It was cooked perfectly and tasted divine.I also tried some of my son's yellow curry. My family are very particular when it comes ot our curry, and we all enjoyed what this place had to offer.Although the prices were a bit high (we paid about $20/person for a meal and drink), I definitely think it's worth it. Next time I'm in Tampa, I'm coming back here for the jerk pork, for sure.

Not really authentic. The colors are there but no music or grill burning. Also how do you have j*** as your company name but don’t have j*** sauce togo along with j*** chicken or pork. Carrots aren’t peeled before cooked.
