Terrible customer service. It was my first time visiting from out of town today and will be my last. We greeted the people at the take out order desk, didn’t get any response. When asking questions regarding the order items and sides they would only point at the menu and not answer the question. Never smiled or spoke once just pointed at the menus and gave a price for the food. Their attitude and rudeness, ruined the atmosphere and overall experience. It's the takeout that I was disappointed with. Typically, one-half of a chicken means a cut down the middle (wing, breast, thigh and leg). Jerk Hut Jamaican Express - Food Truck offers flavorful Jamaican cuisine with generous portions and friendly service. Customers have enjoyed dishes like jerk chicken, oxtails, and Jamaican beef patties, noting that the food is delicious and well-seasoned. The chicken, including jerk chicken and whole jerk chicken, is tender and tasty, while the oxtails are flavorful with satisfying portions. Some reviewers mention that the rice and peas could be better, noting that they didn’t always see peas and found the rice not as good as other dishes. The sides like cabbage and beans sometimes vary in quality, but overall, the meals are satisfying. The restaurant is a food truck, so parking is on the street or nearby lot, which may require paid parking, though it didn’t impact most customers. Many visitors appreciate the affordable prices and the welcoming staff that makes them feel comfortable. Additional favorites include passionade drinks and baked mac and cheese. Delivery is available, with meals tasting great even in rainy weather. However, some customers have experienced slow service during lunch hours, especially when handling Uber Eats orders. Despite this, Jerk Hut Jamaican Express is seen as a hidden gem with tasty food worth trying again.
