Please avoid this restaurant. It is very overhyped. In my opinion it is not a restaurant and when the cook is the only person there and he is taking orders and running back to prep your food, then you know it is not set up for service and taking care of customers. The owner who is supposedly going to be in the front was a no-show hours after opening time. I'm not sure who is turning in these great reviews but it is a dingy place, sparse, and creepy feeling. I would never return and would not recommend it to anyone. I did not taste their food, did not want to wait around for more than 1 hour! Maybe their family, extended family and friends are being asked to submit good reviews.

They may be closed...I tried to go there yesterday afternoon and door was locked, but posted hours indicated they should be open.......and no one answers phone. So best to call before going there.....BTW West Fortune Fish market is not far on Main St....great fish/seafood platters to go at very low price for extremely fresh.

If service were top, this easily would have been a 5star review. I called in to place an order for a mixed seafood platter, and had to do some substitutions bc the crab had ran out (it was the end of the day). No biggie, we just ordered extra portions of lobster tails, sausage, mussels and shrimp. We also got corn, cole slaw and hush puppies. On our way to pick up, we got a call saying the shrimp has now run out...??? When asked how, employee explained someone had just ordered from a walk-in. Okaaayy. That really miffed me. Any good service would have set the shrimp aside for our order. It was unbelievably rude for them to just sell it off to a walk-in customer. And honestly, if you under-delivered, you should have made up for it by throwing in some freebies or extras (like extra corn, hush puppies, or an egg-- SOMETHING ANYTHING). But no, none. Lacking service aside, the flavor was super tasty albeit a little on the salty side. Would have been better if we had a roll or 2 to off-set the salt and sop up the sauce. Tips: order before 5p and order some bread/rolls if available.

This place has some of the freshest seafood I've ever had! I lived in Fairbanks, Alaska and didn't have it this fresh. The garlic shrimp is amazing! Even the potatoes in the garlic sauce are divine. It's not a place you'll want to dine in. Call in your order and take it home to enjoy. Why this owner doesn't have his own brick and mortar place is beyond me! Give it a try. Don't be put off from the look of the place. They serve fresh and delicious food, that's all that matters.

My new favorite restaurant, period. When you speak of a warm welcome, hospitality, and good service, THIS PLACE OOZES ALL OF THOSE THINGS. Saturday was my first time here. I took my mom around 5pm for a rather large order that generally would require 24hrs notice, and although they knew they'd have to stay open past closing time to complete the order, they were more than happy to do so. KD (owner) has an infectious smile, and a truly glimmering personality. He is a genuine gem of a human, and he made the wait time seem like no time at all. Once we got a chance to dig into the food, MY GOODNESS, it was incredible! We couldn't stop eating it, and the family members we shared with were all inquiring about where we got "this good a** seafood" from. I could eat here daily for the rest of my life, and I'd be more than satisfied. Great service, topped by impeccable food.. doesn't get much better than that!!

Very pleasant, friendly, and accommodating owners at K&D, a take-out seafood shop offering crab, lobster, shrimp, grouper, and mussels. The grouper, shrimp, fries, corn-on-cob, and hush-puppies are scrumptious, as are the delicious sauces provided for dipping! There was a problem with the mussels; they would not steam open and had to be steamed for an excessively long time, rendering them stringy and unrecognizable.
I'm a foodie but a very picky eater. I love seafood but it's hard to find genuine establishments that serve clean fresh seafood. Flavor, out of this world. I ordered the small house special, and I was in a trance. Best seafood I've had to date. Very reasonably priced for the quality, quantity and taste. I'm not a fan of potatoes but even the potatoes were delicious. I can't wait to go back for more. Also, they serve both mild and hot. I ordered mild, the mild was perfect. This is a take out location that ensures the love and care dedicated to the menu survives the customer's drive home. We found this place though Groupon and it has become our seafood specific restaurant. The cons ? 1. Everything is fried. DELICIOUSLY, LIGHTLY BATTERED (but fried). My GF claims this to be a problem yet she digs into my 1/2 of fried shrimp all the same - after killing her OWN lobster Po-boy and I mean no crumbs left !!! 2. 6pm Closing. Small shop. But 6pm ? Seafood will never surpass late night pizza or Chinese orders but c'mon at least try 8pm !

I was so excited to come here when we moved to Tampa and after reading amazing reviews, this place was AMAZING. From the moment we walked through the door to eating our meal. The customer service was the cherry on top and left you smiling. Coming here was my moms xmas present and the owner made sure she was super super happy with everything. He made it so personal and was incredibly sweet! This place is a gem and not to mention the food. Everything was well seasons and great portions with great prices. I can't tell you enough how good this place was. My mom is super happy with her present and I owe it all to K & D Crustaceans for their excellent food & service!

TDF(To Die For). I had the K&D special: corn on the cob, potatoes, large shrimp and a crab cluster. All kissed with there special garlic sauce. YUMMIE!!!!! Corn had a nice texture, flavored added by the garlic sauce.--had not been sitting in a water bath all day. Potatoes still had that firmness without being overcooked. Large shrimp still had the shells on them--but a little peeling never hurt anybody. Crab cluster was a nice size and the sauce added a wonderful flavor. The owner was very helpful and pleasant. I originally​ ordered the Dungeness​ crab but they were out because of delivery and the weather. When I was there I overheard they do delivery by Uber eats. I plan on trying them again especially when I hear such beautiful descriptions of the Seafood Burgers. This is only a Take Out establishment. Was surfacing YELP one day and found this gem. I love local non- franchised business. Will be one of my favorite hole in the wall kinda business. As an​ added note the p*** vein remained intact in the shrimp. I have eaten shrimp which are large with the back of the shells cut and this removed. I have to say I am not a sauce person and after a few bites of this dish, ​the sauce seemed to overwhelm and take over the taste of the entire dish.

Went here last month & I was more than impressed with the seafood burger...hats off to the owner & the lady @ the counter. The hospitality was amazing just like my seafood burger....it was big thick & juicy! I ate it so fast didn't get a chance to take a pic of it.
