I would go often usually 2-3 times a week, and every time I would be harassed by homeless folk. It's odd to find a place down in the downtown area where they don't have security inside or outside of the building. Normally I would sit outside because it is wayyyyyyy too crowded inside. But lately the homeless has been a huge issue for me. My safety being number one. The drinks are okay, but I've gone to other tea shops where the drinks are a lot stronger. And there isn't anything "special" regarding drinks, just bland, teas. And they're more expensive than the other tea bars I go to!

I've been a regular for a long time. I've spent alot of time observing what goes on around here. As of recently this place has been ran to the ground, largely because the manager has a massive chip on his shoulder and is blinded by his pride to see it. As of lately the store has completely lost touch with the concept of what a kava bar truly is. The bar lost a vast majority of its loyal community unfortunately and certainly seems like we were never appreciated from the start. There has been many scenerios where the manager has bad mouthed indiviuals to others, as well as intentionally tried to drive them out and caused immature and childlike drama for no good reason. From the looks of it, it's nearly always coming from emotions fueled by jelously and selfishness. It's ridiculous. This bar is not what it used to be, and is nearly vacant nowadays, and for good reason. A large portion of the loyal regulars have jumped ship, and its all credited to a manager who cant keep his mouth shut and is always getting involved in everyone's business and starting issues and drama with others he doesnt like. As well as many other complaints. This indiviual has single handedly ruined this place. I hope it flourishes again in the future.

I come in, maybe, twice a week and I decided to stop by this morning. I was disappointed with the service this morning. Took 10 minutes for the guy to look up from his laptop before he even acknowledged me. Then proceeded to get my order wrong. I usually love all the people working because they’re so friendly and welcoming but he was not.

I paid $17 for a large white mang da kratom tea. I went with the leaves version instead of the powder, which was recommended to me by the bartender for stronger effect. The effect was mild at best. So, especially for the top dollar price I paid, IT SUCKED. In general, I know what kind of effect white mangda tea has on me, as I've had plenty in the past. To me, this was a RIP-OFF. And days later when I spoke to the manager in charge about it, his attitude was nonchalant and offered me nothing to make up for it. No problem, just thought I'd share my experience with you all instead.

They really got going on at the Kava Bar! Molly is so kind, so thoughtful, and very patient with all my questions about Kava and Kratom (cray-Tom?). Great people and great vibes with fun music! Definitely a great customer base as well— seems like a real community here. Definitely coming back to feel relaxed! Seems like they have a lot of things going on here in a wide selection of products.

First time visiting location and receptionist with long, red hair was extremely rude. I was the only customer and a second customer came in. She offered to help the customer who came in an afterwards and because I mentioned I was there first she snatched my money from my hands and was very unpleasant. As a person that comes down to Tampa driving two hours away to work in the city I am highly displeased at the customer service at this location. I will never go back, and I mentioned to her that it was my first time in the facility, and she shrugged her shoulders as if it was not important without any recommendations. The expresso and golden latte was as nasty as her attitude. A waste of $10 and my 15 min break

This is THE MOST diluted Kratom and Kava I've ever tried, the effect I felt is ZERO, I did not feel absolutely anything and I drank 2 cups, plus a shell. It tastes and looks like they are just trying to save on supplies and added a pinch of Kratom to the water for the green color. Other than that, the place looks nice, there for 2 stars.P.s. I travel and have visited almost every single kava bar on my trips all around us,(obviously not all states have them) and I never miss a chance to visit a new one. So far the best Kratom I've ever taken is in the kava bar called Oahu and it's in West Palm beach, the guys have been the first in the business before all of these new kava places, and that's what makes them the top.
