Nice homey family owned restaurant, outstanding service and tasty food!
When I tell you, this was absolutely the best BBQ that I have had in alonggg time. The staff is over the top great. You can tea tell that this family cooks with love. Me and my husband were very happy with our overall experience at Kojacks. If you are in Tampa and want some good BBQ and get full, then this is ur place.

Was my second choice since my regular stop was closed. I ordered enough food for 8 people and I told the young lady that I would be back to pick it up and she said you might as well wait because it’ll be out in five minutes. And she wasn’t lying ! Fastest barbecue I’ve had in my entire life !! The only thing that took a while was me right in this review. Sybille , Phillip and Ashelly were the first point of contact and the customer service alone needs 5 stars. Highly recommend. I just hope my regular barbecue spot isn’t reading this.

Today I had a very disappointing experience at Kojak Restaurant while picking up an order for a customer and placing an order for myself. This review is not about the food, it's about the treatment I received from a staff member you see in the photo.
From the moment I entered the restaurant, the waitress appeared to have an attitude toward me. As an immigrant with a Jamaican accent, I sometimes have to repeat myself, but customer service employees should remain patient and professional when dealing with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
During the interaction, I felt disrespected and insulted. The situation escalated to the point where the police were called. The responding officers were respectful, professional, and understanding. I admit that I became upset and responded with inappropriate language after feeling provoked.
The restaurant business is about serving the public, and the public consists of people from many different races, cultures, and nationalities. Every customer and delivery driver deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
I believe Kojak Restaurant should invest more in customer service training and emphasize professionalism, respect, and cultural awareness for all employees. No one should feel unwelcome or disrespected when entering a business.
I hope management takes concerns like this seriously and works to create a more welcoming environment for everyone.

First time dining here. Food was great, Mac and Cheese delicious, sweet BBQ sauce loved it. Will be back. Ordered the combo was enough for two.

Sometimes, a change of plans turns into the best surprise. We originally intended to visit a different BBQ spot, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it didn't work out. My son was shipping out for the Navy the very next day, and all he wanted for his send-off meal was good BBQ. He stumbled across Kojak’s, and I am so glad we landed here!
Knowing they’ve been family-owned since the 70s sets the stage, but the staff—who are the family themselves—truly made the experience. They were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home like we were part of their own family.
The food was absolutely phenomenal. I had the pulled pork dinner with mac 'n' cheese and parsley potatoes, and every single bite was incredible. In fact, everything was so good that we actually kept going back to order more! We finished the meal with their fresh apple cake for dessert, which was the perfect sweet ending.
I cannot recommend Kojak’s highly enough, and I already can't wait to come back. Don't sleep on this place—they will not disappoint. My only regret is that we didn't discover it sooner!
