Madame Fortune is a hidden gem in Tampa. The speakeasy atmosphere is cool, intimate, and unlike anything else we’ve experienced in the area.

The food was amazing. I had the turkey wings, my wife had the salmon, and both dishes were packed with flavor. The cornbread was absolutely fire and worth ordering all by itself.

The live entertainment took the experience to another level. The singer was incredibly talented and kept the energy going all night. Between the food, the vibe, and the entertainment, this was one of the best date nights we’ve had in a while.

We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend checking it out.

Had some great food with my gf, it was her birthday so was really looking to have a great time, our meal was supposed to cost bout 165 dollars, reasonable, till the bill came and i noticed the bill was way over 200 dollars, gratuity was madness, plus the audacity to ask for further tip, ruined my night lord knows i was pissed,, dont know whose business strategy this is but that is my first and last time i am coming here smh won't happen again

My husband and I recently visited Madam Fortune for date night, and overall we had a really nice experience. The vibe and aesthetic of the restaurant were definitely a 10/10 — very beautiful atmosphere and perfect for a night out.

My husband ordered the oxtails and really enjoyed them. I had the lamb chops with Brussels sprouts. The flavor was good overall, but both were a little more charred than I personally prefer.

One thing that threw us off a bit was the music. The DJ and loud music didn’t quite match the atmosphere of the restaurant to us. I think softer jazz or contemporary music with maybe a saxophone vibe would fit the setting much better and really elevate the experience.

Also, I believe our waitress was Alexis, and she was amazing! Great customer service, attentive, and very pleasant throughout the evening.

Overall, we still enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend checking it out for the ambiance and overall experience.

First time & was a great experience from the moment we arrived. Loved the vibe and tribute to the late Madame Fortune Taylor. Alexis was our server and she was phenomenal. Her recommendations of drinks, starters & main meal were excellent. We will be back to explore more of the menu & enjoy the ambiance within. Thank you Alexis for assisting us with amazing choices and your beautiful energy.

If you look at the videos that other contributors posted of the entrance into this place, it should say a lot... This place is beautiful!! The food was delicious 😋 I would however, suggest a reservation.

The food itself is worth the 5 stars. I've been quite a few times
The set up is cute but crowded, meant for aesthetic amd not comfort but is a vibe. Extra points for music choice.
The servers are personable but not very attentive.
The food has never ever ever disappointed. every single menu item has been delicious. My favorite so far is the shepherds pie (comes woth the corn bread) and turkey wings.

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE! Booked reservation on Mother’s Day ! The food was call and SALTY ! Cornbread was not lit like the tables next to me . Plate was dirty presentation of the plate was terrible . Per the staff the head chef called out and the chef is fairly new that worked that day . There are no excuses when someone is spending their hard earned money . Then the waitress offered to warm my plate up 😒 instead of remaking . Every meal we had was prepared heavily with salt (thankfully my mom took her meds prior ) . The entire experience for such a special holiday was terrible and the entire staff was rude and full of excuses . Matter of fact the waitress was from 7 and grove next door she didn’t know the menu and was very frustrated and it showed . This was not my first time here however this experience was certainly 0/10!

If your looking for a unique and fun evening this unassuming restaurant is it! The entrance is made to look like a small bakery with a built in bookcase which opens into a magical speakeasy once you give the friendly hostess the secret password. The restaurant is lovely, sophisticated, romantic, yet comfortable. The craft cocktails were fabulous and unique. The entrees were large and very rich and filling and we had to take most to go. Service was friendly.

Although we had a table reservation that specifically requested a table for 2 in the middle of the restaurant, we were given a table at one end of the restaurant near the kitchen . What was disappointing is there seemed to be more emphasis on “turning over tables for revenue” than finding ways to accommodate a reservation where the “dining experience” was important . We were not extended another table option or reservation time . While the atmosphere is “cute” ….. the restaurant is quite small so if a patron. The patron behavior did not match the environment which leans toward intimate but patron behavior just makes it a cute but loud bar , not an upscale restaurant. A door or curtain is needed to obstruct the view of the kitchen which definitely takes away from the atmosphere…….. and while the food was good …. compliments to the kitchen 👌🏾……. the smell of cleaning supplies is annoying

As an Ybor “stop” ….. Madame Fortune is quaint spot to experience for a drink or bite ; BUT IT IS NOT a restaurant you need to consider for a romantic meal as the atmosphere is going to be “hit or miss” and no matter how much money you are prepared to spend , “turning over tables” is more important than maximizing customer experience. Cute idea …. great potential….. but NOT the place you want to go to impress your wife or a date !

Had a great experience at Madame Fortune! Jessica was an amazing server—friendly, down-to-earth, and very attentive. She checked in on us regularly and made sure everything was perfect, which you don’t always get these days, especially at this price point. The food, service, and atmosphere were all on point. We were celebrating a birthday and everything went smoothly. Definitely will be back and highly recommend!
