Maikel's Bakery offers a variety of dishes, with customers praising the cooked meals as flavorful and the coffee as amazing. The Cuban tamales and dulce de leche are specifically mentioned as delicious. The bakery serves rice dishes, French bread, and a wide selection of Cuban-style cakes, which are beautifully decorated for weddings, birthdays, quinceañeras, and baptisms. These cakes feature tropical fruit fillings like guava, pineapple, vanilla custard, and coconut, and are kept very moist with a secret syrupy sauce, topped with fluffy marshmallow frosting. Customers often enjoy the fruit and find the overall service friendly, though some mention that the service can be slow and that staff may seem less friendly at times. The bakery is well known for its sweets and desserts, with many cakes ready to go for the day, and the food is often fresh and hot. Customers have shared that the place can be busy, especially on weekends when parking is tight, so visiting during less busy hours is recommended to avoid waiting. The breakfast sandwiches are made fresh on the spot and are enjoyed by many. Some dishes, like the cheese pastry, have been less favorable due to texture, and prices for treats like Éclairs have increased significantly, causing some customers to reconsider their orders. Overall, Maikel’s Bakery provides a taste of Cuban tradition with delicious food, beautiful cakes, and a variety of sweets, making it a popular spot despite occasional service delays.
