My daughter and I had a wonderful time eating dinner here. Staff was kind and helpful with picking out an entree for us. Food was fabulous. I was disappointed I wasn’t able to have the cheese wheel pasta dish (they were out of the cheese and truffle) but that only means that I will eat here again! Thanks again Mandi.

Something about their pizza. Carbonara was fabulous also. Caccio e pepe was will done. Star is amazing. Cute little place.

We visited Matteo for the first time recently and had a great experience! The pasta was homemade and all of our dishes were delicious, especially the gnocchi. The staff went above and beyond to create a friendly atmosphere, and were working very hard during the busy dinner rush. We will definitely be back!

The food is amazing. We had the spaghetti carbonara, charcuterie plate, cocktails, and the flatbread with truffles (forgot the name). All of the food was fantastic. The atmosphere was great and the price point was good for the servings you get, I ate carbonara leftovers for days. Service was pretty slow, even when most of the other patrons cleared out and we were some of the last ones there. I didn't get the last drink I ordered and it took a while to get the check. Small price to pay for a lovely dinner though.

Parking: They have a small number of free spots. They do offer valet on busy dinner nights. Most patrons parked in the neighborhood behind the restaurant.

Wheelchair accessibility: They have a couple of handicap parking spaces to my recollection and there are plenty of low tables for which a wheelchair could access easily. That being said, I recommend calling ahead so they can keep one of those tables held as they're busy in general and there isn't much space to sit and wait for a table to open up.

Five of us went for dinner last night. On Mondays the menu is half off so we were there when they opened and were one of the first 2-3 tables sat. Upon arriving we were informed they would not be honoring the discount because it was a holiday, Juneteenth. No prior notice given and okayyyy but we were already there so we decided to stay. Should have followed the hoards of other diners and families who turned around, knowing the meal was not worth full price. In truth it was not worth any amount. It was 20 minutes before orders were taken and 35 before wine and bread arrived. Another 15 to summon someone for balsamic as the olive slurry in the oil was gross. Meals started showing up at the hour and fifteen minute mark. Rundown: 1) chicken Marsala - boring but edible. 2) calamari - so overcooked and rubbery it was inedible. She swore it came up the second she delivered it which if true is sad. Sent that back and didn’t want to try again. 3) chopped salad - edible but anemic, basically lettuce without much “stuff” in it. Afterthought salad quality and would not order again. 4) salmon papardelle pasta dish — came out with the wrong sauce. they tried again with the right sauce and probably rushed it, the pasta was too undercooked to be remotely considered Al dente. 5) the salmon entree — paid extra for the option to sub the potatoes with “spaghetti pomodoro” and another upcharge for the pomodoro to be spicy. dish came out without the veggies and instead of spaghetti arrabbiata they sent a pathetic bit of cheap penne in what tasted like plain jarred sauce. Neither spaghetti nor arrabbiata and the girl had the audacity to argue the veggies weren’t part of the meal but wrong. Anyhow that dish was finally pieces together by snarling servers but in all it was a sub par meal that took over two hours for basic basic pasta. Our bill was over $100 for the salad and the salmon entree and a couple of glasses of house cab. Oh and she never brought the pepper we requested when the first attempt at the meal arrived. Nothing special, definitely not good or worth the price. Never again.

The food was absolutely delicious! And, the service was excellent. I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered at Matteo's.

Monday nights feature half off all but Boise, so there's some pretty slow service going on. You'll get your drink and food sooner or later, but service is leisurely. The wood burning pizza oven is the star, but my meaty pizza was a bit too flavorless. I missed garlic and other spices, yet it was quite juicy. Id give it 3.5 stars.Extremely limited parking so you'll end up parked in front of some neighbor's yard which I am sure they despise.

Overall not a bad experience but definitely not memorable.Service was good, no complaints there. The pizza was .. okay. The flavor was fine but the dough itself was soggy. I read a previous review stating that this was the best pizza they’ve ever had. This was most definitely not the case. The pasta was again average. I honestly couldn’t tell it was homemade. Granted, I’m no pasta expert. Prato in Orlando is real homemade pasta and you can taste the difference. We opted out of desert as our excitement was low based on the previous selections.Again, overall it wasn’t a bad experience. However, I wouldn’t bookmark Matteo by any means. I’d say it’s average.

I suggest you go for the Happy hour menu. They have several types of pasta, but no Angel Hair pasta, which I happen to like. Their bruschetta is very good and also a very big portion. The parking is not very ample, so get there early for H/H.

3 1/2 hour drive from Orlando to Tampa (usually 1 1/2), hotel room wasn’t ready at check in, and anywhere you go in Tampa you’re looking at traffic-traffic. As such, I looked for the nearest, hopefully authentic Italian restaurant. And I found IT…one of my top 3 favorite restaurants in Florida…authentically Italian. I am Italian, grew up in North Italia, visit often - these are flavors from home. La Carbonara - so, so, so good. The bread, the crispy crust, the soft interior. Pizza Margherita is traditional. I read a couple of “not so good” reviews and I almost didn’t go. I am so glad I did. Lauren was my server and she was amazing, attentive and genuinely friendly. A gagillion stars!!!

Parking: The parking is complimentary valet. Attending personnel are paid by tips.

Been searching high and low for some Napoli-style pizza. I heard Matteo’s shipped the pizza ovens in from Italy…so I decided to give it a try…this spot did not disappoint! DELICIOUS pizza! I’m talking about pizza that has a crust that has that perfect balance of crustiness and chewiness! The fresh toppings took the pizza over the edge for me!! Highly recommend!!

3.5 stars. Interior was nice and service was good but the food wasn't quite what I like. The bread and tapenade looked nice but the tapenade was bland. The meatballs were 2 for $6 for happy hour. The sauce wasn't my style. Carbonara noodles and sauce were good but the pancetta was salty to the point where I only ate a couple pieces of it.

I desperately want to give this place a 5 star due to having a nice server and the food being delicious. But when we visited there was no truffle sauce and we couldn’t get the cheese wheel, which is almost entirely why we came. Additionally I ordered a to go pasta dish for my husband and didn’t realize til I got home that the Orrechiete Salciccia didn’t have an ounce of sauce on it. Practically a waste of money spent cause without the sauce the dish was terrible. So just a little disappointed in the experience I had.Otherwise the tiramisu and spaghetti carbonara I ordered were absolutely fantastic and some of the best Italian food I’ve had.

This has become one if our favorite local Italian restaurants. The food is all around really good! Large appetizer portions, some yummy wines to choose from. He loves the Veal & I have the hardest rime choosing which sauce to pick for my gnocchi, every time picking a different but equally delicious flavor Cannot wait to go back & definitely recommend

We are on vacation in Tampa and we must say that our most favorite dining experience has been Matteo's Trattoria! Great Italian food, great ambiance and great service! My daughter and I were there on Monday evening and we both ordered the Chicken Alfredo Pasta. It was delicious. You can tell that the noodles are handmade! The chicken was so flavorful and juicy. Excellent! The warm crusty bread with the olive tapanade was a good compliment to the pasta dish. We decided that we must try their Tiramisu. It was the best we have tasted, even better than in Venice! Our server, Joel, was very friendly, attentive, menu knowledgeable and professional. In other words, he was great! The ambiance was wonderful and the people dining there seemed very happy. The seating was comfortable and cozy. Decor was on point. A place you want to return to.We were surprised to learn that it was Monday Madness there, which meant all dishes were 50% off!! No wonder it was packed with happy people, including us!Parking was easy and there was wheelchair accessible parking as well as entrance.
