Great hot dog place with a great story behind it. Located really close to Busch Gardens, which pretty affordable and a great place to take the kids. Lots of options on the menu, which also includes burgers, chicken sandwiches, and desserts. There’s lots of indoor seating with a retro look. It’s a must try
Excellent service and friendly staff in a very fun retro atmosphere. Plenty of seating and wide selection of Chicago favorites. Especially appreciate their attention to safe gluten free options for Celiacs. Thank you, Mel's is a treasure!
So I've been going to Mel's for several years. I was shocked to have to pay $57 for two hot dogs two hamburgers and some fries and some drinks. We got to keep in mind people did our economies in the s*******! And I don't think I'll be coming back. Because I don't believe in paying $57 to eat out at that type of facility when there is all other types of people around selling food at a much lower price. I mean two hot dogs have ketchup two cheeseburgers...
