I mulled this over for a while before actually writing it but after a week of consideration I’ll say flat out this restaurant sucks. The waitress was rude from the second we sat down, the music was so loud I couldn’t hear the person next to me and there was a bone in my tuna flight. The sushi was tasty and fresh but that was the only redeeming quality of this experience. For $250 I could have just ate at Koya and not dealt with a rude waitress or abysmal atmosphere. Not worth...
Exceptional, friendly staff that worked very well together to make our dining experience special. The ambiance was sophisticated and comfortable. The food,especially the sushi was fresh, tasty, and creatively plated. The drinks were an interesting take on some classics.
A little disappointed for a high end Omokase. While the nigiri provided in the seven courses was very tasteful, I felt the portions were very small for the price off the dining experience. Some dishes like the Hawaiian tuna tartar on coconut rice were very creative. The individual nigir of Japan sourced seafood were very thinly cut and were of a singular piece. The scallop with creamed cord was very tasteful but did not seem to follow any Japanese cuisine feeling.
