Our first and probably last experience. The was one other couple, no one at the bar, yet it took a long time to be addressed, order, and receive food.
The sign stated steak and seafood. The seafood was very limited, although the shrimp basket was a good value and enjoyed by my kids.

Our server April was wonderful!
It was rather late, but they let us come in with a large party. The service and the food was amazing. Everybody loved what they got.

Don't go here. Filthy place. They skimmed my credit card and fraudulently used it elsewhere. Avoid at all costs!
Mark...I know someone from your restaurant skimmed the card because just an hour or so after our meal a charge appeared in a part of Tampa we've never been. It was the only time our whole trip the card was out of my sight. Do what you want with the police. That's your business. P.S. The server was lovely.

I’m born and raised in the area so have been to this establishment many times over the years, even as they have changed names and business types. I was super excited to hear Remingtons was reopening, as they were a good quality steakhouse at reasonable prices. This was my first visit since it reopened and unfortunately it wasn’t a good one. First aesthetics, they spent time and money to fix up the outside and even clean up and paint outside but why those chose not to clean the floors was a poor decision. It’s still gives off that dirty grimy feeling of the bar days and even has that skunk bar smell as you walk in. (I will note the odor is not as bad as it used to be when the Wexford and PJ’s was open). All the staff wears Wexford shirts? This is remington, get them new shirts! Wexford was known as a down and dirty dive bar, Remington’s image is the complete opposite. Appearance and branding matters! Waitress was super nice! I advised her the pdf menu on their website was incorrect, showing options not available (i.e. 12oz ribeye) and the prices on the pdf were all wrong (i.e. $1 cheaper on French onion and $10 cheaper on ribeye). She took the details and said she would pass it on to get fixed. While disappointed about the price difference, not that big a deal as that kind of stuff happens with new restaurants. Ordered my meal. French onion to start, 16oz ribeye, green beans, and mac and cheese. French onion was way under seasoned, had very little flavor. Also served way too hot! It was scalding hot, took forever to cool off to eat, especially under the cheese. Cheese quality was good and tasted great. The crouton was completely soggy, I have a feeling they don’t crisp them enough beforehand, otherwise it would keep it’s texture longer. Green beans tasted fresh but lacked seasoning. Mac and cheese was ok but not delicious. Seasoning would improve their current recipe. The cheese creaminess was good and not grainy. Steak price was $40, good price if the quality of the cut is good. Unfortunately they have poor cuts. Lots of fat and grizzle! I want to eat meat not that. Their cuts are also thin. Hard to cook a rare steak when so thin. No sear crust and barely any flame sear. Gotta have that as that is flavortown!! Seasoning was perfect and tasted great, when I did get a bite of all meat. Overall not a great experience, especially for the money I paid $60. If the meat quality improved and the other items get their taste corrected, this could turn back into a nice place again, even if they don’t clean the floors and fix that bar skunk odor. I highly recommend they get an outside food consultant to help then with their flavor issues. Outside of the steak seasoning everything else was poor. Hope they turn it around as the Remingtons of the past was delicious and this isn’t close.

Came in at about 8:00 there were three tables, and one other patron at the bar, I asked for a table and was asked to sit at the bar since it was only me, I was given a menu and then wasn't interacted with again for 15 minutes, when I finally got service I ordered the escargot the cheddar stuffed mushrooms and a bacon mushroom burger,
The escargot was pieces of escargot jammed inside of mushrooms to make it appear to be much larger than what it was served with three pieces of soggy bread, the cheddar stuffed mushrooms were tiny button mushrooms stuffed with mostly bread crumb that was severely soggy due to the moisture of the mushroom barely any cheddar involved, by the time the burger made it out I was highly disappointed, and the burger was the tipping point ordered it med rare got a hockey puck, was supposed to be an 8oz patty was barely over 5 by the time it was brought to me, asked for extra pickles on the burger got 3 pickles in a plastic cup, and no pickles on the burger when I complained server shrugged and ask what I wanted him to do about it, horrible service horrible food not much of a step up from a dive

I don’t know if it was Valentine’s Day or what but the wait time was about 30 to 45 minutes. But when we got there, there was a couple that had been there since 6 PM. My reservation was at 8 PM they said that they hadn’t been served or anything. Then once we got seated, it took forever for the appetizers to come out then once we got our food, which was about 3040 minutes after that part of one of our plates, the food was cold. The whole Experience was just awful! I don’t know if there was only one person working the grill or working in the back Preparing the food or what that night was just bad!

My boyfriend and I made an online reservation for Valentine’s Day while visiting Tampa. When we arrived, there was another couple ahead of us who had also made a reservation. We all stood at the host stand for about 10–15 minutes without being acknowledged. Several employees, including bartenders and servers, made eye contact but no one greeted us or explained what was going on.
Eventually, the couple in front of us asked why we weren’t being seated and were told the kitchen was backed up and it would be at least 40 minutes before food would come out even with a reservation.
We completely understand that Valentine’s Day is busy and kitchens can fall behind. That’s not the issue. The issue was the lack of communication and basic hospitality. A simple acknowledgment or heads-up when we walked in would have made all the difference.
Unfortunately, due to the experience, we decided to leave along with the other couple. Very disappointing, especially for what was meant to be a special evening.
We hope management takes this as feedback and works on improving communication with guests, especially during busy holidays. A little acknowledgment goes a long way.
It was Valentine's Day. Filet mignon recommended by server, fish and chips, shrimp. Poor cut of steak/doubtful filet/poorly cooked, fish not flakey/like rubber, shrimp were fine. Server was not attentive. Over an hour to get food. A nearby table arrived after us by 10 or fifteen minutes. When they got served about 30 minutes later, we asked about our food. Another 15 before it arrived. Had two different servers and neither ever checked back. Had to ask for silverware twice. Went to bar to get our condiments after server didn't bring them when asked. Bad, bad, bad.
