it would of been nice if we got silverware to eat and napkins. we decided to go here for some soul food and have a picnic at a park. so the utensils would of been nice, but anywho mac and cheese is suppose to be creamy and flavorful but it was bland and truthfully tasted like it came from a box. catfish was delicious my fiancee got the brisket it was tender and you can taste the smoke. the cornbread omg was like eating sand no flavor no soul. collard greens were ok. this did not taste like moms soul food. i will not be going back to this place. sorry . to me not a real soul food place

So happy we found this spot! The staff is super attentive and friendly. We tried pretty much everything on the menu and were not disappointed! Loved the catfish and the ribs and the brisket.. and all the sides…true hidden gem. Oh and free mimosas today! what more can you ask for!?!

I always get catfish dinner or sandwich ❤️. The dinner you can get fries but I usually do the 2 sides of collard greens and creamy potatoes! The best ever catfish dinner in town ?❤️. Shaundra and Jerry are great and make some great awesome homemade food! Highly recommended. The collard greens are homemade had some bits of turkey like soul food cooking right here! Shut the hell up Mac and cheese isTHE BEST IN TOWN! Nothing could be bad in this restaurant it’s soul food from the heart! ❤️

Worst brisket ever. No one could chew it. Catfish smelled rotten. Okra barely cooked. Baked beans are no such thing! White beans in some strange sauce! Don’t bother’

I’m very picky when it comes to BBQ…They throw it down in that kitchen! This was some genuine soul cookin. From the moment you walk in you feel apart of the family. The food was fantastic each item layered with flavor. The brisket is tender and moist. The Mac n cheese is creamy and has the perfect amount of cheese ?? hands down my new spot for all things BBQ & Soul. If you were thinking about visiting, stop thinking and come get some delicious food that’s guaranteed to put you in a good mood! Thank you y’all for your good food and hospitality ?

Finally, a good BBQ place with good mac and cheese! Highly recommend getting the "shut the hell up mac and cheese"! It was sticky, cheesy, creamy, everything you want. It had an amazing flavor with an amazing texture-- some places don't do both.The meat itself was delicious. Tender and flavorful, you can smell how good it was as soon as you walk into the restaurant. The link was my favorite thing, I could eat so many if given the chance. Not sure if their BBQ sauce is homemade but I love that they offer spice level options for it. I tried both the mild and the hot and both were great, the hot had a little bite to it. I loved it because it actually added to the flavor and not just hot for hot sake.Everyone working here were so nice. This was truly the worst bbq I’ve ever had. The only thing you taste is smoke and the quality of the meat is D grade. Everything was pale. The beans and green were awful.

I ordered the brisket, half rack of ribs (which was only 2 ribs), and some pulled pork, Mac n cheese, coleslaw, and yams. I'll start with the brisket. It was very dry, cut extremely thin, and tasted like it had been reheated several times. The 2 ribs I got were mushy like they were also reheated, none of it tasted fresh or smoked at all. The Mac n cheese wasn't bad, but I will say that everything was heated in the microwave. What a waste of 35 bucks. Will not be trying again. So disappointing.
