I have been coming here for a while and yet I have never ordered pepper soup here before until recently, and let me tell you!; That pepper soup with white rice took me back to West Africa when I was a little girl back in Guinea Conakry. Whoever cooked the food was amazing!!!
The restaurant had a warm, clean presentation. Beautiful and informational art lines the walls, with afrobeats music playing that will have you dancing while eating.
I ordered the okra soup, puff puff, and the mango ginger lemonade. I ate till I was belly full and still had so much soup to take home and enjoy again!!! I drove from Winter Haven to eat here and can see myself stopping here more often in the future!!!

We absolutely loved our time at Steaming Pots. Jennifer was amazing and her knowledge of the menu was highly impressive. She was able to explain both the main flavors as well as the underlying flavors of each dish. We ultimately decided to have the Puff Puff as an appetizer followed by Egusi Soup with chicken, Okra Soup, Pepper Soup, and the Jollof Rice with turkey. Everything was delicious.
