We just ordered bacon, eggs, hashbrowns & toast. Nothing spectacular about it. It was decent. Service was nice. Would go back.

The place looks nice, but it was a terrible surprised when I asked for the paella and it was spoiled and bad with a bad smell due to the shells. The seafood ingredients were not fresh.

We had a wonderful dinner with a variety of tapas and an entree. Miguel made some wonderful recommendations and we had a lovely evening and meal.

Great place to dine. I never knew, when booking that it was part of the hotel. Very nice hotel by the way. The Spaniard offers two menus. One for in house restaurant dining and one outdoors - poolside. I sat outside. Served by Desiree. She was one of the best bartenders and wait staff. Great food. Great service. Great people.

Wait staff was so nice. But this wasn't really a restaurant you need reservations for, we were sat in a hotel cafe. There was no vibe no ambience. Wouldn't recommend til they fix that.

I stayed at Hotel Alba Tampa in March 2025 and cannot say enough about the amazing hospitality, kindness, and service at this beautiful property. Beatrix (hope I spelled her name correctly) the lovely woman who greeted me at the front desk was lovely, and thoughtful and gave our group white glove attention every single day! I have been meaning to write a fan letter about Beatrix since I left your beautiful hotel. I cannot say enough about this consummate professional who showered our group of hard-working school nurses with support, care, and special amenities. Yes, the elevators were having issues, but hello...they were still recovering from a series of hurricanes. Despite that small inconvenience, the staff had a sense of humor about the mechanical issues and provided excellent service, including a fully staffed elevator with a very fun monkey (stuffed animal) named George. Hotel Alba Tampa is beautiful, cozy, and filled with special touches that feel magical. The staff is attentive, and accommodating and works hard to meet the needs of their guests.

I indeed had a splendid time at this restaurant, the service was wonderful from my server Alisha she gave me my food in a timely manner and tended to me very well. If I could rate this 10 stars I would. LOVE this place, the food was amazing the vibes were great, do come here it is awesome.

Breana was the absolute best bartender at the pool bar! A group of us were there for a bachelorette party and even working solo she made sure our bride had the princess treatment! Thank you to Breana and the hotel for hosting our pool day!

Opentable Diner

I had a very disappointing experience at The Spaniard. We had a reservation for 6 PM, but upon arrival, there was no hostess to greet us. The restaurant was nearly empty, making it clear that a reservation wasn't necessary. After waiting a few minutes with no staff in sight, we walked around— even near what appeared to be the kitchen— but still found no employees. With no guidance, we seated ourselves and grabbed menus from a nearby table. It took 15 minutes before a waiter finally approached us, and his attitude was far from welcoming. Instead of enthusiasm or recommendations, his comments about the menu made it seem like he wouldn't eat there himself. He mentioned he'd bring us water, but minutes later, we saw him carrying plates to another table instead. It became apparent that he was the only server for five scattered tables, which likely contributed to the poor service. At that point, we decided it wasn't worth staying or spending money. Overall, the lack of staff, poor service, and unwelcoming atmosphere made for a frustrating experience. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Originally we booked to dine for the regular menu and did not realize there was a Valentine set menu being offered. At first we were discouraged but we enjoyed the Valentine menu as the staff was very friendly. We will be coming back to sample the regular menu soon!

The omelette was excellent, as were the potatoes & fruit bowl. You can sit outside and dine as well. Joan took great care of me and made all my particulars work out!

Got the hanger steak. It was good. It came with fast food French fries. Meh. The chimichurri sauce was good but I only got enough for a few bites. Service was not great. She added a tip for herself. Guess that’s the new thing. I recommend walking down the street for a better place.

An amazing location with beautiful curbside appeal that greets each guest with a warm Tampa welcome. All of the amenities are top notch and the staff went out of the way to ensure we felt valued and welcome.

Inside the Hotel Alba, the Spaniard restaurants offers two distinct ambiances, with a spacious, quiet music, dining and bar experience. Or choose the outdoor bar that hugs the pool for a more open air area.
Mojitos are hand crafted and served with a smile. The menu offers octopus ceviche on the bar menu. The indoor venue offers an upscale dinner menu.
Great bar service today on the area near the pool with salsa dancing.
