A classic gem of Tampa. Really a must hit if you are in town for any reasonable amount of time. True dive bars are a dying breed, and the tap has the patina to outshine all but a few (the hub). Tip your bartenders.
I hope this message makes a difference to anybody considering going to this bar.
Not only did the older male bartender try to deny one of my friends on his TWENTY SECOND birthday… he did not know it was May 12th by 10pm that day. He also did not seem to understand that everyone born in 2003 is now 21.
More importantly, another friend of mine left their card at the bar that night. They froze the card, not knowing where she left it, and came back to retrieve it and pay the next day. The bill was three dollars(one beer), and the bartender decided to cut the debit card in half. Not only is this unprofessional, but very inconsiderate of others’ property. I would understand if we ran up the tab, but a three dollar drink…
Nonetheless, this bartender is one of the rudest people I’ve encountered in the service industry. Rude towards paying customers. Rude towards the world. Rude towards the very people that keep this bar in business.
Love this place. No one should ever go here.
Only have beer and wine here
Great Dive Bar. Cheap Beer, darts and pool table. Nothing fancy about it. Izzys Food Truck outside is great
Good ol dive bar. Bartender isn’t gonna kiss your ass but she’s a good lady. Pool games are fun. The crowd that comes here is a melting pot… which makes for good conversation. Bar games, decent music, and cheap beer. If that’s what you’re looking for, this is the spot.
Great place to have a beer and grab some food. Top tier
This is a dive bar, temper your expectations but for what it is, it's perfect. If you come here and hate - great dont come back. It's a neighborhood bar where people stop before going home or if you want a chill night playing pool or darts.
There are ZERO FRILLS - do not ask for a lime on the side and no they dont serve food and the food truck outside isnt very good. Come here for bottled beer and an unfussy night out.
Crazy how these people just deny legal customers for their own ego.
Bartender is rude. Kicked us out. Do not come here. Never would recommend.

Try not to get sick!! It is a horrible place!! This place is literally disgusting and I am pretty sure they don’t know what hygiene means. Toilet was the worse thing I have ever seen in my life. Entire place smells disgusting. They let dogs drink beer on top the bar counter??and how sanitary is that is a different topic. Another funny part is my friends wanted to play pool and the lady randomly came and ask our ID’s even though we are all 25+ not even drinking any alcoholic beverages. She kicked us out is because I did not have the state ID. (I am 26 years old) I provided her passport picture and my driving license and my other ID. They should be worry about their place’s cleaning as much as they do about other stuff. Overall, if you do think about yourself don’t even try this place.
Restrooms are super dirty and disgusting, bartender is not good and disrespectful. Just not a great environment!
Plus getting kicked out being over 25+ is funny
Need new bartenders asap. They're rude and tweak over real IDs
Myself and six friends, all in our thirties, were kicked out because the paranoid bartender said he couldn’t verify our IDs. Another guy had his ID taken and he had to call the police to get it back. A bizarre experience and not worth the risk of going back.
What a disaster this dump is - stopped by after spending a couple hours in Hyde park village with a few friends looking to wind down for the evening and was promptly thrown out by a disheveled looking bar keep and extremely rude and aggressive police officer within 3 minutes of walking in the door for being “underage”….I’m 32 years old and was told “if they don’t want you here, you need to leave the property.” Still not sure who they thought I was but needless to say, I won’t be going back to this grimy, dingy joke of an establishment when there are a dozen better and more welcoming bars within walking distance.
