For starters, the atmosphere is not the most appealing. Reminds me of a mom and pop owned restaurant, but tries to hit a wide variety of foods. I got a Cuban sandwich with plantation chips. Not the bets I have had, but definitely better than other Cuban restaurants nearby. Service was good, attentive and quick. Be careful with credit card payments as they do charge a service fee for using card instead of cash.

Slow night, but food was delicious! Had the oxtail with yellow rice and Cubano sandwich with plantain chips! Absolutely fabulous, quaint little place, highly recommended if you get the chance. This was our Uncle's favorite place to get Cuban food, sadly he passed, but we'll always enjoy this restaurant and the eclectic foodie he was.

There is a wide variety of options. I went for a Cuban staple the roast pork and wasn’t let down a bit. It had excellent flavor. The yellow rice was very good and fluffy and the black beans were just right with lots of seasoning. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality.
We have been going here for well over 6 years. We enjoyed the food quality, taste, portions a 4 star all around. It is now a real disappointment. My husband went yesterday, no bread, no requested soup, small portions, etc. A/C was obviously not on at a comfortable temperature. Then they started to have a 3% surcharge if you paid with credit card, calling the cash price, a discount.Very disappointed since this was a nice break for me from cooking, yet were we could have comparable food. Will not be going again.

We always have such wonderful Cuban food here, the chef is just amazing and love the waitress as well!
We’ve eaten at Havana 1959 numerous times. We’ve usually ordered the shrimp mofongo and roast pork. Always delicious. Today we tried the chicken mofongo and Cuban sandwich. The chicken mofongo was the best mofongo I’ve ever tasted. The Cuban sandwich was very good. The chicken mofongo was the star. Very good service. Already looking forward to our next visit to Havana 1959
I was working in this area and think in a plate of bread stak whit arroz congri. This place, which goes above my expectations, was delicious. The music, the servers, especially Katherine (Katy), have the hospitality complement the atmosphere really feel like you in a paradise island feel like abuelas house for lunch and a authentic café cubano make you wake up thanks for have this place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The first time I’ve been here and it was great!!! There was this wonderful waitress named Catherine who really explained the menu, I had a Cuban sandwich at her suggestion. She wasn’t wrong, it was really good.Someone like Catherine is what makes a good restaurant great. She was knowledgeable, attentive and funny….that’s why I asked her name because when I go back I’m going to ask for her.
Great food. Best mojitos in town. Family atmosphere. Sometimes they have live music. Good service. Staff is always friendly. We love this spot.
