I honestly don't understand the negative reviews of this place. My husband and I, both Italian, tried Roberto's for the first time, today and loved it. We had GREAT service, and so far it's the BEST Italian cuisine we have found nearby in The Villages. I had eggplant pasta and a salad, and my husband had a personal pizza and a salad, plus garlic knots that are out of this world yum!! First they gave me a glass of Rose when I ordered CHIANTI! Without asking me first they told me " We are out of Chianti!" Then Veal Florentino came out "filmed over" from heat lamp which also overcooked pasta. SOGGY! Owner Roberto was running around not paying attention to quality nor that he was out of wine! Awful tasteless food. Skimpy portions. My chicken parm was so tough that I couldn’t even cut it. Got a pizza to go and it had no flavor at all. I am 100 percent Italian and I have never ever had such lousy food. Will never ever go back or recommend that place. When I told the waitress that I wanted to talk to the owner she couldn’t find him he went to hide.
