This is as authentic and good as it gets, from the simple way to make a delicious Margarita outside my home. The service is also top notch, our server Eric was so attentive and seamless at the same time. The tacos al pastor and the Carme asada tacos are perfection, the tortas and consomé are also amazing. They keep things fresh by alternating daily specials, but the $6 burrito I grabbed was an absolute knockout for the price. Every single sauce they provided was packed with flavor and the meat was seasoned to perfection. “Came in for a light lunch after a long tournament day, and this spot did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. We ordered the To Share, the Guac Los Chingones, and a Quesadilla de Pollo—everything was full of flavor.
The restaurant itself is very clean and super cute inside. You can tell they put thought into every detail, from the walls to the chairs, cups, and plates. The staff was friendly, and our waiter Bryan was fantastic—attentive, welcoming, and really knowledgeable about the menu.

I am Puerto Rican myself and have been eating these foods my entire life, and this by far was the best Mofongo and Bacalitos I have ever eaten. Plus the presentation was so cool and unique. Chef Catala was so personable, introduced himself and added to our amazing dining experience. Truly talented. Our waitress Dalila was super friendly and welcoming. “We had such a wonderful experience at Barra Vieja in Doral, and a huge part of that was thanks to our waitress, Margarita. From the moment we sat down, she made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. Her energy was warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional.

“Nice little hangout spot. There's parking in the rear. The bathroom is quite small but that isn't a problem. So far I love everything I've eaten here and out of the many times I've eaten in or ordered from this place, the service has been great, I've got 0 complaints and I invite anyone to try it out, prices aren't high either and I've seen plenty of tourists visit this place and have left happy. The owners are super nice and super cool. As long as I live in Miami and this place is open, I will be eating from it every chance I get. I love their nachos al pastor, they might not be their best menu item but they are my favorite.“
