We usually have a wonderful time and the food is delicious but NOT this time. Our food was cold and we sent it back; it came back cold again. Very disappointed and there was no compensation or a manager to come to apologize. It really was inexcusable or very embarrassing since we brought a visiting family member.

Great spot to grab a bite to eat. Has that old Florida charm.

The hot dog was not beef and served cold. The chicken breast was tasteless, the bun was hard and the soda was flat. The shrimp was good. Very disappointed with this meal!

Simply the only place to get real danish baby back ribs! Slow cooked in oven then finished off on the grill. Try first without sauce to taste the tender meat and the floor of the rub. Add the beer batter onion rings and that’s perfection.

Great staff. Clean environment and a tasty menu for the whole family. Great vibes and a huge outdoor deck

I would just like to say that my food and experience there was top notch. Shout out to my server Linda! She sent my food back because it didn’t look good! She needs a raise guys! She was so pleasant to have always smiling. Makes sure that your food looks the best! Made sure we had everything we needed!

We haven't been to Salty Dog Venice in a while, so we stopped by when we saw they had live music. Great evening! Talented musician and great outdoor marina vibe. My meal was good. I had the grilled mahi sandwich. However, I could have done without the giant bun. Maybe a thinner oneβ€” let the mahi speak for itself. They should also hire a couple more servers. Service was slow. We will be back for more fun tho! πŸοΈπŸ˜ƒπŸΎ

We waited 10 minutes before I finally had to get someone to come to table and take a drink order. Phil you can do better. Been a salty dog patron for 30 plus years. Waitress that jumped in and took care of is was great.

Overpriced mediocre food. $18 for a couple pieces of heavily battered fried fish. Not much of a water view, just view of boats parked on trailers.

The four of us had a wonderful time at this informal/family-friendly restaurant one Sunday evening at around 5:30. We sat outside on the deck at a wooden table right next to the water, enjoying the beautiful harbor view. For an appetizer we shared a large, delicious crab & cream cheese dip, made fresh by the restaurant. For my main dish I loved my grilled fresh grouper fish with vegetables and a salad. The fried onion rings our friend ordered were enormous (!) and tasty. Nice wines by the glass. The staff is friendly and helpful. We particularly liked our waiter, Brandon, who was as charming as he was efficient, and made a special effort to wipe our table super-clean before we sat down.

Terrible food, clam chowder tasted like it's from a can. Conch fritters were under cooked. My grouper was 3 inches long and the bread was 6 inches long. I had to break up the fish so it would cover all the bread. Who ever came up with putting sauerkraut on blacked fish should NOT be making the menu. I saved it by not getting the krout and putting coleslaw on it. The battered fish was so greasy, that tells me their oil is cheap. The grilled fish was so over cooked it was dry and hard. The Ceasar salad has to be the worst I've ever eaten. The mixed veggies were good. The French fries were not hot and bland. The beer was cool not ice cold and was very slow getting to our table. They do offer military discount so that was nice. Unfortunately they need alot of work. Hire a chef and if you have one, fire that person. Couple gad three dogs and they barked at all the other dogs. Ridiculous having dogs were people eat. The 6 of us agreed we will never be back and would never recommend it to others.

Great gem on Venice island. Welcoming atmosphere, cheap draft beer, and delicious food!! I was with my family, a total of 8 with 2 large dogs. Get the blackened chicken firecracker wrap with a side of pineapple slaw - boom sauce for the win!

Cool place for dinner. Nice to overlook the marina. Didn’t love the batter on the Shrimp. But cool atmosphere.
