American Icon Brewery is a solid spot with a really cool atmosphere. The fact that it's in an old power plant gives the place a unique industrial vibe that makes it stand out from most breweries.
The beer selection is good with a nice mix of styles, and the space is large and comfortable for hanging out.
Overall, it's a fun place to grab a beer and enjoy a setting that feels different from the usual brewery scene.

If you are visiting Vero, I highly recommend putting this on your list of places to check out. The food, drinks/beer, and hospitality are phenomenal! It’s not just a brewery; it’s a part of history.

The hospitality is very welcoming! My fiancé and I ended up getting stuck there for hours! Highly recommend!

We had a group of 8 for dinner and drinks. The atmosphere was very nice, the food was delicious and the drinks from the bar were very well made. I was very impressed with American Icon Brewery. 👏

We went for happy hour. We waited over 10 minutes to be sat. They automatically add 18% to the bill which is why we never saw the waitress. Two managers came by more than our server. The food & happy hour beverages were good but the service was slow. If I see they automatically add the tip, I know the servers have zero incentive to pay attention to their tables.

American Icon Brewing in Vero Beach is one of those places where the building alone already has your attention. Set in a historic power plant, it keeps the original industrial bones intact—high ceilings, natural light, and history on the walls to remind you this place existed long before craft beer was involved.

A real win here is the space. Actual space. Inside, outside, grass you can walk on, air you can breathe. It’s refreshing to not be wedged into yet another strip mall where parking is a competitive sport. You can grab a beer, wander a bit, sit outside, or toss a bean bag like it’s a casual suggestion rather than an organized event. It weirdly reminded me of Minnesota—in the best way—where places had room to exist without shouting over traffic and neighboring businesses.

The vibe is relaxed without trying too hard, the beer is solid, there’s a full kitchen, and you can enjoy all of it without feeling rushed or overstimulated. Bonus points for being dog-friendly—bringing Ellie along was a win, and she seemed perfectly content soaking in the scene.

Also, as a Harley rider, the “motorcycle parking” sign did not go unnoticed. Small detail, but appreciated.

Overall, it’s a place that lets you hang out instead of herding you in and out, which feels increasingly rare.

Traditional brewpub offerings in a historic industrial facility. Expansive outdoor patio with good separation from the parking area. Overall a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal.

The atmosphere inside and out is fantastic. The food was good not over the top but good. I have been told... the beer is really good, not something I'd try I'm not a beer fan.

Food was made fresh and tasted exactly as I expected- perfect. I ordered a grilled Mahi sandwich on a gluten free bun, with sweet potato fries and a lemonade. Delicious😋

Great spot for the history and while I didn't try the beer (since I don't drink) the food was a mix of good and just ok. The cobb salad was great portion and fresh and my wife's asiago chicken sandwich she said was great. However my children each had the pizza. For 16 bucks the dough tasted chewy and more on the cardboard side. For that price they definitely need to work on it. But it's probably not what they are known for and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. Really wish they didn't add 18 percent gratuity. I always tip 20 percent anyways but I wonder if this is to make up for the new minimum wage laws for servers.
