Great Mahi Mahi. Surroundings were nice but you could tell they had a rush of diners and had a hard time keeping up, and they never recovered. Understaffed on a Sunday night. It was good, good enough to try again. Maybe.

We went to Easter brunch. I had my reservations and I should have listened to my gut. Not only was it overly priced, the food was awful and limited choices for $100 a head. We were seated at 2:30 pm and the food had been sitting around and not refreshed. Drinks were extra. The service was slow and the place was dirty. We were rushed out and didn't even get a cup of coffee. We made a reservation. We were there for about 35 minutes before they told us they were cleaning up to get ready for the dinner crowd. Why allow anyone to be seated at that time if you are not going to serve fresh food and if you are going to start cleaning up that quickly. Making matters worse they tacked on gratuity, so we had no ability to give what we felt was appropriate. So disappointed and frankly shocked that anyone goes to this establishment.

The coconut shrimp and conch fritters are delicious and they are accompanied with great dipping sauces. Great views of the ocean and live music on Saturday afternoon. Dogs are welcomed too.

The Wave Kitchen is Gloria Estefan's restaurant, inside the Costa d Este Beach & Spa Resort. Little pricey but beautiful restaurant, great service and solid food. We loved the grilled octopus and sea scallops, both cooked to perfection!

This restaurant is amazing. Delicious Cuban food and large portion sizes. I came two times and I was very pleased with the service, atmosphere, and food both times. I would suggest The Wave put more attention into the outdoor seating logistics because they only reserve indoor seats for reservations and outdoor is first come first serve. This poses some challenges if you already made a reservation and need to compete with other diners to find a table outside.

We sat outside near the beach/pool. Food was AMAZING! Great view and amazing service! Cheyenne was our server and was amazing and was always checking in on us! We will be back & would recommend it to our friends!

Happy hour used to be happier. Yesterday we waited over 25 minutes at the relatively small bar (12 seats?), to be served. The bartender was completely overwhelmed dealing with orders from waiters serving the surrounding tables. We had the same experience the weekend before. Why can't they hire another bartender to accommodate the amount of business they do at this time of day? A manager appeared but did not jump in to help. Above his pay grade?? Finally, after 30 minutes another bartender appeared. The management should do something about this shortfall as it detracts considerably from an otherwise great place.

I recently dined at The Wave Kitchen and Bar and was disappointed with my experience. Despite being a high-end establishment associated with Gloria Estefan, several aspects fell short of expectations. The ambiance lacked recognition of Gloria, the noise level was excessive, and the food was overpriced for its quality. While there were some positives, overall, the experience did not meet expectations.
We loved our entrees, but expensive for the portion size. We were tucked in a corner so the noise was not a factor for us. Service was pleasant. Overall, positive except the price point.

Always wonderful. This time we went for brunch. I had the Cuban French Toast and it was delicious. The other guests had waffles & the BLT. We all enjoyed our respective dishes. 100% would recommend.

Love the restaurant but the noise level is challenging. Very difficult to have a conversation; not sure what you could do to improve it but it would change the whole experience but still love my Wave (local yokal).

This restaurant is very loud and highly overpriced! We could barely hear each other talk! We ordered 6 medium sized scallops for $46.00 with no sides, and our friends ordered an 8 ounced steak for $59.00 with no sides! They paid $10.00 extra for mushrooms! Our server did not bring us extra butter for 4 people to eat 6 tiny pieces of bread with barely enough butter to spread, and made us wait for at least 45 minutes to an hour before serving our food! He probably was waiting for us to order another $14.00 cocktail! This might be something the restaurant wants their waiters to do because as we looked around, everyone else was still waiting for their food too! The scallops would have tasted better if they weren't served sitting on little pices of sausages! We left there hungry and highly disappointed! Save your money and find another upscale restaurant with a little more food and a better atmosphere!
