“I am always skeptical. Like all first-generation kids, our moms make the best authentic foods. When I took the first spoonful of rice, I was shocked. Haiti makes DELICIOUS rice, but a lot of times when we sell food outside of the community, we lower the bar because how would they know (😅)? But not at Mama’s. THIS place is authentically delicious!! Truly the one of the best plates of Turkey frit avèk diri nwa I’ve ever had outside of the homes of my Haitian community. The staff are a joy to talk to and the portions are large. 10’s across the board!“

“I placed an order for a small griot, Which was the lunch special. I have eaten here a few times but today not so good. The griot Was cooked fresh as always but today I receive more fat than meat. So I called to let the young lady know and she gave me attitude about me looking at it before leaving as if I was gonna go through the whole plate to look to see if I had fat on my meat. She wants to go back-and-forth so I let her know it’s nothing that you did wrong. I’m just letting you know what I received with my purchase of the meal..The tone that she gave me on the phone was not professional, As she stated, do not lie to me as if I need a reason to when I come and spend my money there every other day for lunch so I would not bring my business back here.“
