One of my favorite places in Florida. I've been coming here for years!!
Walking into Oriental Food Market feels just like stepping into my aunt's house it has that same comforting, welcoming vibe. From the moment you enter, you're greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of freshly cooked food and shelves stocked with an incredible selection of Asian goods. If you're looking for authentic Thai cuisine, this is the spot.
So, what's at the heart of this place? The food and the owner. Every visit leaves me blown away. This time I had the cucumber salad, pad Thai, and their special mango sticky rice. Wow! Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made with so much love. I'm still thinking about that mango sticky rice it was absolutely unforgettable. Nevertheless Julie (the owner) knows every single customer by name, treats you like family, and always ensures you're well taken care of. It's more than just amazing food it's a whole experience. You walk in as a customer and leave feeling like you just had a home cooked meal.
If you haven't been yet, you're truly missing out.
Such a sweet couple, and my go to for authentic Thai!
very homey, fresh food and nice couple. best mango sticky rice ever!!!
Very welcoming mom & pops grocery!!
Another gem in West Palm Beach!
Excellent panang curry! It was rich and flavorful! Something that is a welcome change from these other places that like to water down their food.
Also the pad thai was delicious and well portioned!
Also Julie was very sweet and a great host!
After reading a glowing review in the Palm Beach Post, I was inspired to give this place a try for lunch. The takeaway on my takeaway is meh and feel ripped off. The first impression of the business is that the space feels unsanitary. The woman was preparing salad and vegetables while sitting in a chair behind the desk. My mind was telling me to turn around and walk out the door. But sometimes, it's the grittiest of places where one gets the true cultural flavors. I was willing to take the adventure - big mistake. No prices were posted. She wrote down my order and turned to tell me it would be $32. I should have balked. I only ordered Tom Ga Kai and Beef Salad! Outrageous! I'm not sure if this was the real price or was made up on the spot. I should have followed my gut and taken my money elsewhere. I regret I did not. The beef salad was very good - not exceptional - but very good. The soup was thick like paste and did not have the tanginess and spice I expect in chicken coconut soup. Tom Ga Kai is one of my favorite dishes, so this was especially disappointing. She didn't even give me a napkin, but put a piece of paper towel from a roll in my plastic bag. I don't know what all the fuss is about this business. I won't be going back.
IGNORE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! ITS CASH ONLY CALL AND ORDER AHEAD AND YOU WONT HAVE A PROBLEM Best pad Thai I’ve had in Florida! (I’ve tried every Thai place in the area) The people that run the place are real and sweet. Informal place but that’s when you KNOW THE FOOD IS GOOD! This place is a gem!! 💎 AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD
Tucked away on South Dixie Highway, Oriental Food Market & Take-Out is a culinary treasure that has been delighting West Palm Beach for over 40 years. At the heart of this establishment is the legendary “Mama Jules,” a spirited and warm presence who not only cooks but also cultivates many of the herbs and spices used in her dishes .
Last night, I indulged in the Thai chicken fried rice, Pad Thai and chicken satay, and I can confidently say it was among the best I’ve ever had. The fried rice was a harmonious blend of savory and aromatic flavors, while the satay skewers were tender and perfectly complemented by a rich, nutty peanut sauce.
This tucked away gem delivers more than just a meal; it’s a journey into authentic Thai cuisine, lovingly prepared by someone who has dedicated decades to her craft.
Oriental Food Market isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a testament to passion, tradition, and community. If you’re seeking genuine Thai flavors served with heart, this is the spot.
been here few days ago…she has about 50 items on the menu, but without prices. When I asked where are the prices, she said she will tell me individually 😂 also has a few other items for sale, which are also without prices

Julie is awesome!
Grew up going here, brought my 2month old baby son in and Julie the owner insisted on holding him while I ate. As a new mom It was SO nice. My son is 13 now and we moved a bit north but that memory is one of my favorites. I wish more people in the world were as caring!!
There are no prices on the menu and when I asked they said they don’t give prices until you order. Cash only and they don’t give you a receipt. It is whatever they tell you it costs. I ordered a small wonton soup and a small chicken fried rice. It was $22 Food was decent but not good enough to go back.
I just went here looking for something specific but ended up finding something else. The old lady made my toddler cry for climbing up the chair. Then it was time to pay and I took my card out and then she looked at me like I’m stupid and I asked is it cash only? And she said “of course” First of all, you don’t say anything when we entered and then you give me an attitude that it’s only cash, on top of being mean altogether to me and my toddler. Horrid customer service. Like others said, not people friendly, not child friendly, not friendly at all. Alert! Old rude lady! Don’t come here!
